I wonder what has been the single most expensive sold item on this forum. I remember someone sold a monster box of silver. Did that 250g gold sell on here or was sold to a bullon dealer?

I think someone had a kilo brick to flog a few months back. New member, one post, wanted a f2f cash exchange. Then a bullion dealer on here offered him the readies and he disappeared without trace. The new member not the dealer.

My memory's a bit c**p and all of the above may be inaccurate, misconstrued or may not ever have happened. There was a time when I thought I'd been to the amazon scaling cliffs and finding golden idols but it seems I'd only watched it on the telly so who knows. I seem to remember something about the new member being Scottish or was that the bullion dealer? May have been welsh. 🥴

Was a 250g Bar but the rest is quite factual 😆 🤣 😂

It was the single biggest purchase

But @James32 holds the forum record for most £,£££,£££ spent here ;)

james32hoooooooooover.jpg

That's because James is a self perpetuating Chaos engine sucking in gold in one end and expelling it out the other in a different form. If James went to work for the mint they could sack all the staff and sell off the machinery. Just have James sat in a room buying gold in, selling it on, and buying it all over again in a different form.

In fact if James was in on the Brinks Mat his gold deals are so swift no body would have been caught, or probably  known it was even missing lol :D

Dunno. @Sh97if does many a 'hold my beer' moments where he casually drops 30 sovs on the forum. 😅

I do not think he sold them all in one day. Listing and selling is another thing. I think, but I might be wrong James sold all in 1 day.

I'd like to respond but the moddies say only announce gold deals.

So I'd like to announce the RM have some jolly nice coins available to mark the coronation in case their tiny online ad campaign has gone under the radar. :D

Yep.  That's the whole purpose of this thread.

If people wish to discuss the coronation range of coins, links to current threads (may be others as well):

This looks like a good deal. Only 2 1/2% above spot. Good thing they go weeks sometimes without updating their site, so if gold goes further up, it becomes a better bargain.

They also let you cancel your order, which is good because their delivery can take quite a while. Found a 5g pamp on there once for £285, but gold tanked and after 3-4 days they hadn't dispatched yet so I cancelled

2022 Gold Full Sovereign Coin - Gold Bullion Co (thegoldbullion.co.uk)

Does anyone think this will go down to their flash sale price range at some point? Got £20 credit to use with them and after another sov

Is that voucher burning a hole in your pocket?  If there is no timeline to use it, I would wait it out even if eventually you use it against another sovereign.

I'm not sure how often they do flash sales on sovereigns
