Sold as bullion because there could have been problems with it?  Arshimo does this sometimes with problem proofs

2002 full proof sov ,, was advertised on ebay and sold as a bullion ;) somone must seen this?!

I've picked up a fair few loose proofs on ebay that were sold as just sovereigns.

This one does look like a proof but not totally convincing, maybe it's an early RM BU strike similar to the recent offerings?

I have had a few bully 2002 sovs in cards like this one and they have all been full on business strikes; no question. This one could be a mistake at the mint or is there a chance it has been replaced in the card? I would expect NGC to grade it as a PR

Does anyone more savy in sovreigns know if the breast plate, face and flank of the horse are prone to wear since the table is almost perfect?

The first wear on the horse appears around the eyes and ears, the right shoulder and the bridle/neck area.

The BP on the reverse is much smaller than the ones I have on my other G&D sovereigns (1905 onwards). Is this normal for a Victoria YH G&D?

Almost all YH G&D sovs that have a BP are of the small variety, very few varieties have a large BP. There are quite a few without.

Thank you. I'm really looking forward to my Marsh Sovereign book arriving so I can learn a lot more about all these little variations.

My last Libertad of 2017...the elusive 1/20 oz Gold Proof Libertad.  Off to NGC she goes tomorrow!

Very nice@Jester ..iv'e been looking at these for a while. Well since i started buying gold sovereigns a couple of months back, but i'm struggling

to make a decision on which ones to go for. Any views or advice on the better ones to go for? I caught one of numistacker's  videos regarding the bu versions,

the 2017 1/4oz gold and 2017 1/10oz gold, so i'm sort of looking out for those two, mainly because of the low mintage figures. And where would be the cheapest place to order

them from? Again i singled out a couple of sellers..namely silberstresor and munzdachs..they seem to have the best price on them overall. Am i on the right track?

And my apologies if i'm on the wrong topic/thread.

@Goldfinga, if @muenzdachs has what you're looking for, I can't recommend them highly enough.  The client service and pricing (even with me being across the pond) is top notch.  I don't think you can go wrong picking either of the two you mentioned (the 1/4 oz or 1/10 oz BU).  Good luck with the search and let us know what you pick up!
