Popped into town today and picked up an 1820 shilling and crown from the market stall traders and an 1892 Melbourne mint mark jubilee head sovereign from the local bullion dealer in the High Street. 

Nice eBay win.  A 1950 Proof issue of King George VI coinage.  Only three Proof sets issued throughout George VI reign, the Royal Mint issued this as a commemorative of the mid- century.
Nice heavily toned and untouched set. 
 

🤔… I think my stack of gothic stuff is now out of proportion…too many 1/4 arms… not enough portraits…. still looking for that una and the lion in silver… suspect will be waiting a while at moment  …

I've ordered the the 5oz Portrait from LPM in Hong Kong. Despatch due on the 31st March. Anyone like to make a bet as to which 5oz Portrait will turn up first UK or HK 😀😀😀.... Not acceptable from the RM for those still waiting for the Quartered.

2nd 5oz gold turned up today some quick photos, capsule is bitty so will clean off with a cloth take some time with this coin and drop some more cleaner photos later.

Are there any better coin boxes out there than @Alun ones? Doubt it. Sleek, modern and quality build. Lovely way to house my Queen’s Beast bullion (plus completer 😏). I’m tempted to replace the gold completer with a platinum one seeing as its platinum jubilee year and all. Got the idea from @Stuntman. Still keep the gold one in a capsule of course. What do you think?

Something a little spicy for the stack arrived today. Saw the 2018 for a good price and thought lets do a centenary bookend with a 2018.

Outer box damaged on arrival (but coin seems to be okay)…I can breath out now!.
Really feel sad for those that got a less than perfect coin today, I know there’s a few already, and I have previously fealt that pain.

Nice little collection of poured silver from @arshimo2012 many thanks. Including a lovely piece from @SilverAngelPouring and a couple of mini pitbullion bars that didn't  appear on the original sales listing, possibly to make the weight up? Very pleased.

Recieved this little belter today from the 1630 spice island ship wreck in Indonesia  
A proper pieces of 8 cob from the pirate ship Natuna
Coins from this wreck site are extremely rare, with only 117 ever sold to market and only 567 in existence. All of which are Spanish 8 Reales, from Mexico, Potosi, Cartagena and mints in Spain. The majority of the dates are mid 1620's but some coins extend as far back as 1580's and span three kings, Philip II, III, and IV. Furthermore, this wreck has yielded previously unknown dates and varieties which has made this a very important wreck site.

The Spice Islands wreck is a mystery. What is known is that when the ship became stuck and too damaged to continue on her voyage; the crew made the decision to light the ship on fire and scuttle her contents. Whether this was to spoil the victory of a ship giving chase or an attempt to signal passing vessels is unclear, though given the amount of Silver recovered from the wreck, it can be seen that the loss of this vessel was a severe economic blow to whomever she belonged to.

Today I received a 1.33g hand panned Gold Scottish Nugget from @arphethean and his new brand ‘Haven Precious Metals”. 
 
What a fabulous looking piece, something truly different to add to the collection.   Really nicely presented as well.
