Warning: This is not a GOOD deal😁
HGM excelling themselves now, 1869 shield up at 95% premium, and that's a 5% discount! Only £600
Condition: Better than bullion and no photo of actual coin.
Oh for the good old days of 10%

No, and I don't feel comfortable to ship it ! As I live in France, I could eventually go to Paris and grade it with PCGS

Goldfinga reacted to kimchi in GameStop / Reddit News
We are a sorry, miserable, devastating unlucky bunch indeed on here indeed...at least we still have each other - it is a comforting feeling to know one is not alone in this rather unique but extremely sad situation
On a slightly brighter note, I now have a very energetic and adorable young springer spaniel for sale! He looks to have had some rather crude recent stomach surgery of indeterminate origin (and reason unknown). He will be a good companion to someone I am sure in a month or two, when whatever soporifics his present food supplies are contaminated with (another strange mystery) run out and he wakes up healed

Goldfinga reacted to BackyardBullion in The Griffin of Edward III 2021 out today
Griffin is the most popular design of the 10 designs, these have the lowest (shared anyway) mintage of the 10 coins in 1/4 oz proof and its the last chance to get them, I think they will do well - not financial advice of course but I think they are a good shout.
Only downside is that they are £605 which is considerably more than the first issuing at £465
But, gold has gone up £400/oz since then!

I remember when this thread started
I think a lot of what was said, would make great T-shirt quotes

Goldfinga reacted to Jvw in What will the price of Gold be (£/GBP) on 1st Jan 2022
I did some math, added the risk of a virus, deducted some tears and compared it to the fear-level. Extracted the lockdown, multiplied with Brexit minus the square root of the deal. Then I took in account that gold is shiny, yellowish and heavy. Making me round it up to a nice round number:
= Gold will be £1643,87 on the first of jan 2022.
Ratio GBP 1,00 / Euro 1,04

Goldfinga reacted to watchesandwhisky in Flipping art, easy money
sold the color one with a 100% markup - and just received this one back from the framer.
1 - 10 gold leaf, this is number 2 - they sold out in about 5 seconds and i was fortunate to grab one, I wanted the frame and mount to stay close to the print so went for black and black, also went with museum quality glass to minimise reflections, all in cost of the print and mounting/frame is £375
No doubt i could flip this for multiples of my costs, but I Absolutely love this and have decided to keep it. This crappy photo does not do it justice at all, the glass is almost invisible from the right angles.

It's a beautiful coin and one that most people would like to own so prices will be strong for a while yet!

Goldfinga reacted to Kman in Silver Monitoring Thread £ (GBP) only.
I would be shocked if we don't have a good year left of rising PM prices, maybe 2 or 3
I'm annoyed at myself because I knew a silver etf is a winner, I've been saying it for a while yet despite that I haven't fully committed and I've got a lot of investment currency that should be working for me just sitting on the sidelines
I keep expecting a decent pullback and then dillydallying while the price goes up another 15%+, I did top up at lower $23 but not nearly enough, I was thinking about $21-22 whilst it's now shot up to close to $28
It's time to stop thinking if only and actually commit to an investment properly
We're due a pullback, maybe gold will hit $2100 first and silver $30 who knows, but on that pullback I will putting in a substantial amount and in a years time I will be thinking "great move" and not "if only"

who faired better after the crash, someone holding their wealth in gold or cash in the bank?
I presume it would be far easier exchanging gold for dollars to buy local goods over worthless local currency?

Goldfinga reacted to Arganto in GOLD DEALS - (UK & Europe) See a deal, post it here
I have had a very good recent experience with them, excellent customer service and very focussed on getting a resolution that suits the customer (i.e. me!). I would say if you're buying bullion that isn't brand spanking new, especially if it's very keenly priced, expect it to be wearing some handling marks and maybe some scarring. If it comes to you in great condition it's a nice bonus. To be fair most of their stuff in the low premium range has the "Bullion Condition" caveat in the advert.
You can buy from other places and pay a bit more for specific years and/or conditions.
