Great to see US pre33 on the forum again. Congrats on your beautiful coins (in lovely condition too). The Indian eagles, containing 0.483 ounces of gold, are especially nice to ‘hold in the hand’. A real ‘Goldilocks’ coin.
The Indian half (and quarter!) eagles must be some of the nicest coins ever minted, the sunken design giving them a great three dimensional feel.
Ever since Theodore Roosevelt went on a mission to replace the Liberty coinage, the Liberty double eagle (1849-1907) has been much disparaged. Apparently he said:
I think our coinage is artistically of atrocious hideousness
Personally I think the $20 is a beautiful coin and your 1894 double eagle is a lovely example.
Here’s a photo of my 1914S $10. It has a richness and lustre above and beyond any of my other Indian eagles.
If you are interested you can view my collection of Indian Eagles on the NGC Registry where it is ranked number 73 out of 425 collections.

Silver Detected in a Yellow 2022 Royal Mint Gold Quintuple Sovereign - Herald of Change or Simple Blip?
For those who care about the colour of gold sovereigns, this might just be important news and a portent of imminent changes for the better, or it could just be a random one-off occurrence.
For those who don't know, most recent sovereigns, and the extended sovereign family, have been an awful coppery-red colour for about the past 20 years. Traditionally, they were a pleasant yellow colour, similar to real, pure gold. This is because sovereigns used to contain a small proportion of silver, which made a big difference to their colour.
If you look of the recent 2022 Gold Briilant Uncirculated Quintuple £5 Sovereign, or photos of it, they look yellow not red / pink / rose.

    Surprisingly yellow.

    Niton test result (wrongly titled):

I have already posted this in my earlier topic / thread here:
But I thought this unexpected development was potentially too important to appear as an afterthought.
The observant will notice that I have titles the Niton sheet as 2022 Double Sovereign, but I must have been in too much of a hurry, as often.
It should be headed 2022 Quintuple Sovereign (No beers for spotting this too late).
    Obverse:
    Gold 918 +- 3
    Copper 81 +-1
    Silver 1 +-0
    Reverse:
    Gold 918 +- 3
    Copper 82 +-1
    Silver 0 +-0
I was pleasantly surprised by the obverse reading, but then slightly suprised by the initial reverse reading of 0.
When I pressed the "details" button, I got further information:
    Silver 000.5 +- 00003
This was more or less as I expected.
Both silver readings were probably slightly under 1 ppt, but the obverse must have been enough for it to get rounded up to 1 ppt, while the reverse got rounded down to 0 ppt.
Nevertheless, this is a very interesting result.
I was partly joking when I suggested the RM might have sneaked some silver into the alloy, perhaps as a consumer or other test. I may just have hit the proverbial nail on the head.
Although the matt finish may have helped the apparent colour, it is beyond doubt that the tiny silver content has improved the colour.
    Will we ever know?
    Watch this space!
I have yet to test one of the 2022 Gold Proof Piedfort Sovereigns, but will do so in the next few days, and add the results, but they also look quite yellow.
    There is hope!

    Warning!
Some of us on here are very pedantic.
I believe you are not actually "kristian from Greater Manchester", but "Kristian from Greater Manchester"
The "hand poured silver bars" can only have been by @BackyardBullion in his YouTube videos. (Don't be afraid, you can name names on here).
Don't buy any of them from him, they are seriously addictive.
For those who have not yet realised, he is actually a hypnotist. If you don't believe me, just watch his hands in a few more of his videos, and before you know it, you will have ordered a whole container load of them. (Silver bars that is, not hands).

I did think about that, but I could see them maybe revisiting if only because unlike the Sovereigns these would be in 24 carat gold and also silver.

I think the RM will want to "big up" other engravers than B.P even though he was heads and shoulders above anyone else due to historic politics and him not being English, no kidding at the time he worked for the mint it was illegal for a "foreigner" to even work in England so he never even had an official title at the royal mint.
William Wellesley Pole the master of the mint at the time had lots of politics to deal with to even get B.P working in the mint.  He must have been arrogant and full of his own self importance to have his own initials on coins B.P engraved.  The original sovereign WWP on the buckle of the surrounding garter, on the revised sovereigns WWP under the lance, 1821 shilling plus other coins.

Aran reacted to GoldDiggerDave in Why silver price is going down when we have such inflation?
So is there an answer and solution  to this question from the OP?    I have watched loads of silver videos on YT over the last few days it's becoming to look more like a cult everyone looks like they are  loaded to the teeth with silver and wishing and hoping it will go to the moon or at least get to the point where they can bail without too much losses.
Please don't make me the bad man here, I would love silver to track with inflation, I would love if it was hedge against inflation I'd love it even more if it was a good store of wealth I genuinely would, it's not, or not what I can see using my own eyes a calculator and looking at historic prices, inflation and interest rates from the bank over the last 50 years.
If someone can show me silver not only keeps up with inflation but it will protect me against inflation and it's a great store of wealth please can you show me the data, I can't see this so just blame my stupidity I'm sure this is one of those things only smart people can see.
Can some one help me with this or at least explain why silver is s very good investment like it's been over the last 10 years you all must have made a fortune.
I can not stress I'm not the bad man, I just can't stomach the terabytes of bad finical advice out there.

The Indian Eagle $10 contains 0.483 Troy ounces of gold so qualifies for this discussion. An immensely popular coin on both sides of the big pond. Not too big or small, easy to liquidate and a lovely series to collect. I was delighted to add this 1914-S (MS64 in an old NGC holder) to my collection of Indian Eagles. Just 31 grade higher with NGC. In Mike Fuljenz’s book ‘Indian Gold Coins of the 20th Century’ the 1914-S is described thus:
’The luster is generally very brilliant and superior to that seen on most other issues in the series.’
I would concur. The lustre and golden richness of this Indian Eagle is quite scrumptious! The 1914-S joins my 1913-S and 1915-S (both semi-key dates and both MS63).
In addition common date examples in AU always command a good premium over spot.
If anyone is interested you can view my set ‘Aran Indian Head Eagles’ (Indian Head Eagles 1907-1933) on the NGC Registry. My set is ranked 73 worldwide!

My 1817 is not graded, but I'm sure its not as good as yours!   Accused of being a show-off? Of course not!  Mind you, some new members haven't even got 10 to chose from!  My choice from your 10 would be the 1820 Crown. Unlike gold, silver over time can become more attractive. This one has superb toning. The improved version of the St G&D first appeared on the 1818 crown, but not until 1821 on the sovereign, but of course you know all this. I regard the first design as a failed prototype, but within weeks Pistrucci was redesigning that image after much criticism. Replacing the broken spear handle with the sword was a brilliant idea. I remember having discussions with Michael Marsh and others through Coin News mainly about this issue way back in 1998, but that's another story......I am not envious by the way! 🤢🤢🤢

Whilst I don't collect these coins I do have signed copies of 'Indian Gold Coins' and  'Double Eagles' 1877 - 1907 by Mike Fuljenz.   I met him  in Beaumont TEXAS a few years ago where he runs 'Universal Coin' and consider him an expert in this field. Occasionally I refer to  these books to give more information to TSF members if needed. Minted in San Francisco. Yes, you are correct about the weight =  16.718g in 900 gold, although I suspect you would have paid more for this 1914 than a 1/2oz Brit! - Superb collectors coin.
