These are supposed to be JC right? I know the images show otherwise.

Am I the only one expecting this in the annual set

And not this...?

Can I ask, where did you get this picture?

Well, I got in at 9.16am, and had a look around.  I will buy the cupro-nickel £5 and 50p Jubilee coins on the secondary market as are no mintage limits on these and so they will soon start appearing.

I will buy the SOTD sovereign next month.

I’m with you. I’m saving my funds for what will surely be another range next month.

Yes, I think the RM have completely messed up the photographs of the £5 as the Specifications cite the £5 Silver Proof having the Jody Clark  Obverse and the John Berdahl Reverse like you expected.

Also seems weird that the 550 silver proof sets have an order limit of 5 per customer, whereas the 2,500 premium proof sets have a limit of 3!

Yeah, I think this whole release seems a big post Christmas and new year rush.

Let's hope the qc doesn't suffer the same fate.

The whole atmosphere seems to have been fairly flat this morning.  The most excitement seemed to come from discovering the "Queen on Horseback" design, but even this seems to have been a disappointment.

I am not sure why there had to be two designs to be release two days apart.  I don't think there is going to be much more excitement in two day's time.

I've managed to buy BU cupro-nickel examples of the £5 and 50p Jubilee for about £26 including postage - so I've probably saved a fortune this morning!

I ordered the silver proof set.

However, I might cancel it or see what it's like and return it if it's not great.

There are only 8 of those sets left. Not sure how well annual sets normally sell, but it seems there is a decent level of interest.

It will be confused in a couple of days when they release the 50p and £5 in lots of different versions.

It all just feels a bit meh to me

I'm still very unsure what the single £5 coin is going to be in a couple of days - will it be the same as the one in the silver proof annual set?

I am not sure anymore. I did expect both to be this one

With a different obverse.

I expect that 5 pound in the annual sets with JC obverse and the one on Thursday with the horseback obverse.

But, after seeing a different picture in the annual set, I am not so sure anymore.

EDIT they seem to have fixed the pictures now. So it does look like the one above in the annual set

I have no idea what this is, but I am not a fan!

Correct.  Anything else will be a surprise!

In terms of the Silver Proof set- like I said earlier, the Specifications blurb of the Silver Proof set cites the Jody Clark Obverse and the John Bergdahl Reverse- plain lettered edge- and in the photographs they cite photos of a 500 Pound denomination 🤯. Amateurs!

I think a spotty faced IT guy has just got the photos mixed up! 😂

Give me a 5 coin sovereign set with the Jubilee Obverse and I'd be all over it.

I honestly do not think the Jubilee Obverse (Queen on Horseback) would come out well on a small coin.  It will be interesting to see which obverse they will use on the SOTD sovereign.

The images on the silver proof set have been updated now:

Ditto the piedfort set.

Somewhat disappointed by that, and i guess it would be no problem to return it - but as I have never bought an annual set before, I may as well keep it!
