2020 Una and the Lion

Recommended Posts

This series would appear to be a guaranteed money maker (it already is for those with the first coin at issue price, even if the others are bad and only sell for melt !)  and only 225 gold complete sets are even possible.......the buying frenzy between dealers, chancers, flippers and collectors is going to be insane.

What are the odds the RM and/or dealers jack the prices up right from the get go ?
I have my popcorn ready.

looks like our shaolinstacker has listed their Gold Una & Lion up in USA, as he said he may

$39,999 USD  / £30,439 GBP

item number #202885622616

Will be inetresting if it sells stateside, if the appeal is there for it

It seems already sold...in one day  😲 , it would be interesting to have @ShaolinStacker 's feedback. What surprises me is how fast the market absorbs these sales, and the still growing prices. Where is the equilibrium ?

Congratulations to @ShaolinStacker

Looks like it has sold via "best offer " as the price has the strike through line through it.  That a speedy sale for sure in USA, less than 24 hours it was up for

The one listed on ebay at £30k has not shifted as yet from the osbourne ID seller

Definitely. The one million question is about the proportion of these 225 already in strong hands

mines in strong hands if the price keeps rising lol !

from £4k to £30k and eBay is still not flooded with folk looking to flip/profit/undercut each other to drive price down

Well Done on the sale !!! :)  I think i should get 10% of your hammer price for my stellar research, timely updates, thoughtful analysis, and miss marple detective work of bidders & sales, thus pushing the market up to these dizzy heights ! 🙄🤣

Get it sold during the hype.

Will see what the Coin Cabinets auction ends at on Sunday

See if the grading adds any +£ value/attraction to the hammer price, and to see what price it attains in a fiddle free/no shill bidding specalist coin sale in comparsion to eBay sales

None perfected graded have sold on eBay as yet

As this is a first, the first one in a specialist coin sale, this should really be the line in the sand/current value what the free market determines it to be worth currently

You may have some deep pocketted collectors who wont deal on eBay for the obvious risks, buying from a trusted 3rd party auction house that have vetted for authenticity and also poses next to zero risk buying.

I will probaly decide what I will do next week

If so, asking Coin Cabinet to auction it for you might be a good idea.   You'd also avoid any ebay scam buyers.

Possibly......

Any eBay sale would have to be done in person cash deal - but that is not without risks dealing with £20k-£30k - no paypal etc.

What is the concern with paypal? That they open a claim or such? I'm planning to transfer the money out of my account immediately

Even after withdrawl, should a chargeback occur , even after funds are withdrawn to bank, our PayPal will plunge in negative £30k and if fund are not back to positive figures,it will be outsourced, debt collection will see to recoup the negative balance, Gang of feckin thieves PayPal

I lost a few hundred quid when I got paid via PayPal, buyer used stolen credit card, I had already downloaded the money into my bank account, PayPal contacted me telling me not to sent items but it was too late I had already sent the items,  paypal put my account into minus.... I lost the items and had to upload the money back into my paypal account.
