It wasn't for me. It was for family outside of London. I have spread the investment and stacking bug and a couple of cousins are savings and then sending me the money to buy nice things at good prices. I then take them with me when I visit. Saves on postage and they get good deals at the same time. I can only dream (at the moment) of being able to spend over 500.00 on things from HGM.....

I wonder if it was ever in stock at 19% off the premium?  I don't think so- and I look on there 20 times a day for Mexican coins, as well as an email alert.

I'd personally say it's not really worth it if you just want bullion. 

HGM have a few good offers still - bear in mind they get stock literally walking in off the street every day, so do keep an eye on it. I see stock for half sovs, sovs, 1/4 britannia, 1 oz britannia and 20 franc coins all at 1% premium or less. Good luck with your black friday purchase!

Those are good prices, and of course buying from the forum does give you a lot more certainty on condition than HGM! 

However, for bullion weight, HGM offers are top notch at the moment. They pop up now and then, but sell out fast. At time of posting one is available. You're looking at the online only 1/4 brittania on HGM which isn't in the sale - their website is quite confusing!

It would be interesting to know the turn over of coins fro HGM in the last few days.    Haven’t bought from then since they inflated their sovereign prices..... until this week.      Let’s hope this gives them a kick up the Harris to prove there is a demand if the price is right.          Some great deals gone through the doors this week

I have used another bullion dealer (not naming publicly until they give me permission) today and asked them to price match HGM. 

They did and delivery was free. Give it a go with your favourite dealer. Could give you more buying options. 

Got my three final sovereigns of the year coming soon.
