A little more frigging with reflectors - another cardboard and foil special with the lights reflected off it to disperse.  I've taped a bit of tracing paper to the reflector to flatten the light even more.  The spot provides a bit of specular reflection to show up the mint finish.  The £20 coin was just taken with the reflector and no spot, and the camera at a slightly greater angle to get the oblique shot.  That shot was stacked, but the others are all axial or just off axial without being enough to need stacking.

Yes, it's terribly sophisticated.  The reflector is foil glued onto cardboard.  Not because I'm too cheap to go out and buy a reflector, but because the smallest ones you can get are about two or three feet across and there isn't enough room for that on my desk.  My trusty copy of Spink 22 is doing sterling service as a stage to put the coins on to.  I think I need to get another tripod for the spot, as I had to cannibalise the stand I use for teleconferencing on my phone.

It's also a bit fiddly to get into in this incarnation.  The coin tongs in the background are needed to reach into the middle of this Heath-Robinson contraption and actually get at the coin.

The Sovereign is the quintessentially British coin.  It has a German queen on the front, an Italian waiter on the back, and half of them were made in Australia.

Do you take pics of anything else or just coins?

Mind is primary and mass-energy is derivative

Serious amount of equipment and the outcome from the photos are top notch!!

Homemade equipment is the best, plus it’s free 👏🏽😂

Not much else really.  Occasionally I take pics of this and that with my phone, but at the moment the only lens I've got for the Sony is the macro lens, so it's not a great deal of use for anything else.  At some point I'll get a general purpose lens for it.

Takes pics of @James32 feet, and sells them online - then buy coins because fiat is boring 😁

I used to have a Fiat but the mirrors kept falling off it.

Beats my old iPhone, I like to think my photos are in the impressionist tradition.

Hello dear silver friends, this series is now finished with the 7th issue. Seven wonders of the ancient world, I think they are very beautiful specimens. Sorry for the many pictures, I always photographed the front and the back. Maxe wishes you a nice Sunday.

These are nice.  I saw the mausoleum coin at Silvertrader and it looked like it might be quite photogenic.  I wondered if I should get it at some point, but you've answered the question.  The strike on these is rather nice as well - they definitely qualify as 'proof like'.

The more pictures the merrier, Maxe - you have fabulous taste in silver and your photos match your taste.

Why you are laughing, @daca? Wrong years on those coins? Or something else?😊
