It's not about the drones. The drones are there to draw the missile defense and probe for weak spots. Once the missile defense (over a million a missile to have a shot at taking out a 4k drone) is out of missiles, then the fireworks will launch. If such a thing would even happen.

Sometimes offence is the best defence.

    How’s Irans missile defences 🤔

There is a story of hanging a monkey in Hartlepool.

It is said to have occurred during the Napoleonic Wars in the early 19th century

The story goes that a French ship was wrecked off the coast of Hartlepool, a town in northeast England.

The only survivor was a monkey, dressed in a French naval uniform, which was mistaken by the locals for a French spy.

Being unfamiliar with what a Frenchman looked like, the townspeople concluded that the monkey must be a Frenchman.

The monkey was then put on trial by the townspeople and subsequently sentenced to death by hanging.

It is said that the monkey was hanged on the beach or from the mast of the wrecked ship.

The story of the Hartlepool monkey has become a part of local folklore and has been retold in various forms over the years.

It is often used as a humorous anecdote to illustrate the supposed ignorance or gullibility of the townspeople.

The Hartlepool Monkey, Who hung the monkey? – This is Hartlepool

That’s nothing! The town of Middleton in Manchester has a pub named “The Moonraker” or similar. Named not after the James Bond film but after the dumb locals who, on a full moon 🌝 got out their garden rakes to try to make the demon moon in the local pond go away 🤦‍♂️

Middletonian’s are known as Moonrakers to older folk in Manchester 😂

Muppets! Must go Back to the 1500’s this story but it stuck.

I've heard they're doing another 2% NI cut. Ensuring that the Directors and Pensioners get nothing (if they'd done a 2% tax cut we'd all benefit). Further solidifying my plans to leave the UK within the next few years.

Where are you planning on going. I might follow but the other countries all seem to be pants too 😢

  4. Hi 👋

Sorry if there is a Topic on this already but Vodafone dropped 3% today and pays around 11% although this is likely to go down next year. Stock price is at 1997’s price!

Just FYI I bought some stock at 90p thinking that was cheap, so might get some more at month end. Seems like a value stock today.

    Any thoughts?

2015 Gold Proof Fifth Portrait £1 Shield

As with the silver proof pound coins, several gold £1 shields can often be extremely hard to track down as they were never issued as individual coins. This 2015 Fifth was only offered within the 8-coin gold proof Circulating Coinage set, mintage just 245.

I'd never seen this particular coin offered on its Tod before, so I was a tad delighted to pick it up from the
    @CoinsOfTheRealmAuctions auction for spot+ postage.

    Shame about the mortuary slab.

2002 Gold Proof "Three Lions" £1 Coin

    Unpopularity be damned.

I am an admirer of these Round Pounds, regardless of whether or not they are currently de rigueur.

I see these coins as having excellent potential and - even if I'm wrong - buying RM proof gold coins at spot including RMSD represents outstanding value. 18g agw CGT-free to boot.

This is my second 2002 (the inaugural gold pound, issued only in the RM Golden Jubilee Collection), the first being a 69-graded mortuary-slabbed specimen which is now demoted from "collectable" to "stack".

10 year chart looks pretty consistent where we are heading

Ive added some lines to look clever because "reasons" as I'm a part time technical analyst.

Gee, i could start a YouTube channel with such insights

If you “parallel” / tram-line the peak line plotted, and drop in a trough line, you can see it works perfectly. So imho, we are due a “to the moon” 🚀 jump over the next 2 years! Well maybe not to the moon but gold looks cheap to me even today based on this chart
