I think what is more interesting rather than a piece of card or paper with a number on it which cannot be traced to the coin, are minted bars with engraved serial numbers.
Whether this is accompanied by a certificate is less of concern, nice if it does, but a low serial number stamped / engraved on the bar makes it unique and the genuine item.

If the mintage number was laser etched on the side it might mean something. Doesn't really do anything on a piece of paper as you could have the coin that it came with swapped for another of the same and nobody would know.

As far as quality of the coin is concerned, absolutely not.
A 10 COA for example does not mean it was the actual 10th coin struck.
Nor does a low COA indicate better quality than higher COAs because the dies are cleaned and polished depending on their usage. The last coin struck in a batch of 3,000 might very will have the best strike of the lot.
Indeed a 007 COA might be fun for a Bond coin, but just like the hobby of collecting itself, it totally depends on the quirks of the collector.

Does anyone believe the Mint matches a CoA to a coin ?

I would guess they run a batch, maybe 1,000 then a worker randomly picks a coin from a tray of coins, places one inside a box and adds a CoA from a printed stack of cards.
Just because the CoA states number 10 doesn't mean the coin was the tenth minted.
I could be wrong but does anyone really know ?

So back to the question about a low CoA making a coin more valuable - only to someone who makes it so by paying a higher price.

kimchi reacted to daca in Mandalorian Beskar CoinBar
The legendary Beskar alloy, known also as Mandalorian iron, is highly prized throughout the galaxy for its extreme strength and durability. Developed on Mandalore for its warriors as a powerful armor, it can withstand blasters and even resist a lightsaber's strike. In addition to its extraordinary resilience, Beskar is able to be shaped according to a warrior's desires and so proves quite versatile. In ingot form, this precious metal is melted down into bars featuring a wavy surface that is then stamped with the Galactic Imperial Crest for authentication. So valuable and versatile is Beskar that in ingot-form they are used as a convenient store of value or means of exchange. Mandalorians have an almost religious connection to Beskar and believe it belongs only in the hands of their people.

Received  an email today from Sovereign Rarities about their new fixed price listings.
One was for a 2oz silver proof 3 Graces with a first day of issue label.
    Asking price was £4800.
When I looked for it on their website it had already sold.
I believe Sovereign Rarities are an arm of the Royal Mint. This would explain how 50+ two ounce silver Graces where graded so fast by NGC.
They must have been retained by the Royal Mint and excluded from the website release last month.

Seeing as you've asked I will do my best to answer, but somewhat reluctantly.

I think they are beautifully made and intricate and I respect eveybody's choice to do as they believe and see fit,  however as I mentioned I'm against the symbology for spiritual reasons and I wont comment further as it may open a can of worms.
In a nutshell though and the main focus for me is to follow my traditional roots and cultural roots and dragons, and mythical beasts like warewolf or unicorn, are not in that realm, I consider it demonic.

Same with something like Darthvader, or Kraken or what have you in those fictitious, Modern Fiction, or Pagan Mythical realms, it's all the same to me, no matter how popular, just not my thing. These wont stand the test of the ages, to be of any significance IMO. The designs have no value to me and I consider them a curse. Again my opinion.
I hope that answers that and I'm happy to discuss further with you privately but that's the end of it for me here.

Again, I respect eveybody's choice to do as they believe and see fit. But I can't touch these items and feel good no matter how tempting it is. You're welcome to make of that what you will but hopefully you don't ridicule that but accept my choice is for spiritual reasons which I'm very firm about, for reasons reflecting on the experiences of my life, and my disgust at the decadence of this world.

Therefore, I've made these decisions out of principal and I find strength to stick to that regardless of temptation to own a few when the price is very sweet and I could flip for a quick profit.  Cheers

There is stock at Australian dealers still, it won't last, and who knows if the usual mintage will get on the market this year from Perth, I think wise to get whats left available of 20/21 coins

I was a coin collector for years and to be honest I can't tell the difference between an MS63 and an MS64, to say nothing of MS69 to MS70, I truly believe the minute levels of 'accuracy' half the time are very much subjective from one person to the next. I guess in many ways that's because growing up with the British system it was much broader, VF or EF kind of boundaries you had to distinguish between, so more obvious, MS63 and 64 were all bracketed under UNC and sold at the same price!
I long gave up buying coins based on grade, in fact I don't grade coins at all now when I buy them, for what few I occasionally buy, I simply ask myself - does it have the eye appeal that I am looking for?
If I like it I buy it and stuff the grade, cos you know when you come to sell it, a dealer will buy it from you as GF and then sell it on as AVF anyhow!

Chards and me dont get on because I don't like them selling items they don't have in stock, so other dealers get my business that don't use this practice
Their choice how they do business but it is not for me, other seem more than happy to wait an undisclosed amount of time
If i'm committing to buying something i want it in a few days, not a few weeks, months or even a years time

I'm very surprised they would even mention grades as no one knows what a coin will grade its only a prediction and then theres the transit of the coin. If they remint expect to wait a while for another, I have given up waiting for remints on other coins and have also had worst ones returned.

I think the more people that start saying they want their coins to hit certain grades to RM the more chance they will look to move into selling graded at much higher prices. I have noticed a lot of people seem to be so much worried about really tiny imperfections these days and a lot that I've seen on groups are mostly dust. I'm fussy but a lot I see I would send to grading that people are considering returning.

I'm predicting we see a higher % of 70s this time around compared to the Unas as they have been taking on board feedback and the recent 5oz Eltons show how they have improved since the Queens as one example

The RM decided to launch a new series of coins called The Great Engravers to commemorate engravers of coins from past years. The first coin launched 2020 was Una and the Lion. They were not launched in massive numbers I think the 2oz silver was 3000 and the gold around 225.
When they were released they were in fact beautiful but the numbers caused a slight problem as every collector wanted one. You have 2 types of buyers, true collectors and flippers. For the flippers this was an ideal situation as numbers of coins were low and demand high so it drove the prices up.  Golds hit 25k and graded silvers were making up to 6k, it basically went mental. The mint release prices were £4485 and £180
Now we have the second coin in the series The Three Graces, again small numbers ( 3500 & 325 ) and again a frenzy. This time however some people are sending their coins to be graded as they realise there is a lot more money to be made. Grading takes time and until those graded coins hit auction it is difficult to put a price on the coins in the market.
Hope this helps and I got it right

I got a call from my account manager first thing this morning saying he'd been able to secure me the 2 and 5oz silver and one of the gold (is it just an 1oz, it was crazy expensive?!!) and, with my balance taken into account, I am able to take them all on rolling credit

Then I woke up, and have just spent all day trying to keep the debt collectors from my door for an unpaid £78 gas bill.
