  1. Same date as Chards. I believe this is the official launch date with pre-sales allowed from today. Had to order some to start the year as we are back to normal 😀

  2. I think you’re in the hands of the dealer mate. Being sold as bullion, as long as it’s the correct weight, I don’t think they would be compelled to replace. I’d hope that the dealer values your custom though and does offer a replacement 🤞

The forum software automatically strips the data from photos when they are uploaded, for members security, otherwise it would be possible for random people on the internet to find the location of where those photos were taken.

Ye, thought that might be the case but didn’t know if you had un stripped pics the backend as raw uploads. Anyone get an email pic from him?

    Nope.

For the error shown the setup is: the lower die is the side with de king, the upper die is the one side with the dragon (both dies have the design incuse - negative as it is normal).

1st coin (blank) is inserted in the machine and is struck as normal (bottom side king, upper side dragon, both sides of the coin now have the correct fields - positive), the machine doesn't eject the 1st coin (get stuck, doesn't  move at all) and the 2nd coin (blank) is inserted. The  2nd coin  is struck between the 1st coin (upper side of the 1st coin now with the dragon design - positive) and the upper die (dragon design - negative)  and will now result  in the error above (the lower side of the 2nd coin that comes in to contact with the 1st coin will have now imprinted the dragon design incuse - negative because the upper field of the 1st coin was a positive).

The 2nd coin is the error coin above posted, not the 1st.  (the 1st coin could be consider a double strike error, but this is another type of error.)

If the 1st coin flips as you suggested then the 2nd coin will have the correct fields (king incuse on lower side and dragon upper side - normal strike, and most likely offset) and the 1st coin will now have one side correct (king) and the 2nd side with double the design dragon and king overlay (upper side - dragon now flips and comes in to contact with the lower die with king design), again this is another type of error.

    Hope I made sense.

Ahhh cr#p, my bad. Your right mate. Thought it had a face on the other side but looking back it’s dragons both sides. Sorry. Amazing find.

1st coin isnt ejected from the machine and the second one is struck betwn the 1st coin that has the dragon and the die above with the same design. this is why the error side is incuse

But the 1st coin has to flip otherwise it would have the dragon on both sides. One normal and one incuse.

  6. I cannot see any way a modern press can accidentally produce this. It would have to mint a coin, then flip it over and mint that side against a new blank. Even if this happened it would be gold against gold and there would be nowhere near the definition shown?

Amazing! I'm 24 with big dreams... please tell me having 5 sovs is good progress😂😂

It’s way better than good and as others have said 5 more than I had at 24. I really wish I had found gold when I was your age. Go slowly, don’t borrow to buy or go without enjoying life’s treats to buy. Just put a little away for gold when you can afford it and I recon when you reach my age you’ll be a very happy man.

  8. 100% agree @DTL1982 pushing 45 here and have spent hours reading up on it and have absolutely no idea what it is about. Put 1K into bitcoin about 8? Years ago and have no idea what it is worth now. Leaving it for the kids so it’ll be worth good money by then or probably sod all 🙄. Tried 500 in these other ‘coins’ and lost the lot in a couple of weeks. No idea what it’s about or how it works, almost seems like a pyramid scam to me 😂

Its been a while. I've had a cheap digital microscope for my birthday. Wow. About a third of the ones I've looked at have some sort of overstrike. But I must say. The coins when they go under the lens are not flattered at all. I know most of mine are bullion or circulated coins. Happy to also report that the one's I've checked look genuine. I have tested them all with the sigma but I suppose they could still be non genuine coins even with the correct amount of gold in them.

I'm struggling to get pictures of the coin from the microscope. As I mentioned it's only a cheap (made in China) item and although I can take pictures, the file won't open unless the program for the scope is open.

Can you not screen shot them from the scope program?
