Ironically, if they did ditch the 'Pink' gold sovereigns they would probably become highly desirable and skyrocket in price.

DeepSpace reacted to FoolzGold in Sold all my gold, got stung
Dear Classic Car forum,
20 months ago I bought a nice vintage Jaguar based on the advice I got on this forum.
This morning when I woke up I saw a headline in the paper that said, "Vintage Car Market Down 5% (but Jaguars up strongly)" so what with Brexit and everything, I jumped in my motor and raced to the nearest scrap metal merchant to sell the car.
The proprietor said to me, "Mate, are you sure you want to sell this for scrap? You know I'm only going to take it to a vintage car auction and sell it for a fortune, right?"
To which I replied, "My good man, I have no time for your questions and advice! Brexit, man! Brexit!"
So he gave me 50 quid and I'm glad I got out of this terrible classic car market when I did. I may buy again, but only if the price of all vintage cars falls by 50%.

I wish they release those as regular bullion with relatively large (30k?) but limited mintage, something like Australian Lunar series. I'd be more than content with this, it would satisfy my collector's desire with stacking goal
I bet over time it would maintain some premium due to limited mintage, but wouldn't be too expensive to buy around the release.

I think the right coin won. Think these can be had for like Ā£13 as well. Nice to add to the collection.Ā

Royal Mint have announced the resultsĀ of their coin of the yearĀ poll. Just wondering what some of theĀ members here would have voted for?Ā
I'd probably go with theĀ Queens Beasts 1oz Silver Proof Completer orĀ theĀ Gothic Crown 2oz Gold Proof butĀ I didn't get to see a lotĀ of theĀ RM coins in hand.
I think the H.G. Wells coin was the most disappointing as it had a lot of potential to be interesting but really just did a disservice to the authorĀ with thatĀ four legged tripod.

DeepSpace got a reaction from Dan12345 in QB vs KB
I don't reallyĀ like the design on the Tudor BeastsĀ coinĀ soĀ It's been interesting being able to watch the release,Ā free from the fear of missing out, that othersĀ have felt with this coin. I actually had pangs to buy it as I was in early on the website but in the end it just came down to me not liking the design and figuring it'sĀ be best to keep the powder dry for something that excites me more.Ā
My first take on the look of this coin wasĀ that it reminded me a lot of the QBĀ Yale, it must have been the spots, but when I looked at the Yale and compared them I think the Panther almost looks cartoonish. The design of the Yale looks so much more refined. The Posture here is off and theĀ paws on the Panther just look clumsy to me. It's a relief in a way as now I don't have to invest. I feel like the Royal MintsĀ Beast's series was just so successful they couldn't bear to see that particularĀ wave break, seeing as some of the Tudor Beasts are the same as Queens Beasts we'll get to see directly comparable coin designs from different artistsĀ which will be interesting I think. But it would have been nice if the RMĀ had come up with something fresh which was a bit more of a departure from a series that they literally just finished this year.
I'm not saying this to put anyones noses outĀ andĀ If you like the coins design fair play this is just my opinion. The forum would be a boring place if we all liked the same things. As Westminstrel said earlier sometimes these designs do grow on you.Ā
