TutoredSoup232 got a reaction from MJCOIN in Una and the Lion gold and silver bars
I'd say they've probably produced far less as some of us returned faulty bars and they were scrapped. No mention of any plans to mint more to hit the maximum mintage

TutoredSoup232 reacted to stefffana in A couple Qs regarding grade C sovereigns & best bang for buck coins for someone looking to buy gold in the UK.
Hi, there are a lot of better options. It is another dealer who is selling 5 coins bundle brand new 2021 sovereign at a good price (1565 : 5 = 313 each at this moment), free delivery, in stock. For only £3-£4 more per coin in my opinion is better to buy brand new, very easy to sell them on private market when you will decide to sell. Also, always try to buy only what is in stock, with maximum 14 days delivery. With the spot price jumping and dropping every week, it is frustrating to wait your gold few month to arrive.
Also, here on forum I've seen a lot of very good offers from forum members.
Happy stacking!
Stefan.

TutoredSoup232 reacted to silversky in The future of silver, VAT and import charges into the UK now a Deal has been done!?
You misunderstand me. Of course we voted to come out of the EU and of course now that we're out of the EU we must apply UK tax rules to imports from abroad.
But what we did NOT vote for is the NEW tax rules which were introduced on Brexit day which include a change where foreign business must now register with and effectively act as an agent of HMRC, collecting tax on their behalf for any exports to the UK of BELOW £135 in value.
Small sales come from small businesses and it's clearly an incredibly onerous system to place the burden of UK tax collection onto the shoulders of small foreign businesses at point of sale. Only a bureaucrat or someone deliberately trying to reduce small value sales imports could think this is a sensible idea (Hmmm, I wonder who might have insisted on this as part of the Brexit deal?). Why should small businesses have to fill in this type of paperwork for a small sale to the UK when a large sale (above £135) will just be posted and assessed on arrival as per the standard international rules? It's total madness and it affects all small sales from all across the world and has nothing to do with silver specifically.

🤣 That would be because the price has risen since I posted. Chards (as do most if not all dealers) use a live price tracker which updates frequently.

But don't worry, just ship it all to us here in Blackpool, and we will dispose of it for you free of charge. 🙂

Received my 2021 year of the ox Royal Australian mint coin. Scratches on the rat coin are on the capsule not the coin.
Put it next to my rat coin and realised they have shifted the design above queenie so that the ox is over her head this time

It is a rather contrary way we view fiat currency. People complain about slumping silver prices whilst forgetting that their money year on year has paid for less and less meanwhile our salaries have stagnated. I would have loved to have been paid part of my salary in gold and silver

It's not really a store of value though is it? Gold is a far better store of value. Silver is currently at the same price as 30 years ago while everything else costs 3+ times more! I have no illusions about silver as an investment - I buy it cause I like owning physical (real) money. I never bought it to get rich. But I do believe in the laws of supply and demand and its very possible there will be a silver squeeze sometime in my life. So for now, I hold, covet and admire my stash.
