I saw this on hotukdeals. Recently I’ve noticed there have been quite a few kindle books that have gone on promotion for free. Not bad considering they have been totally free. For example, I got a Steve Jobs biography for free which later went up to £1.99
This Coin Collecting book is advertised on hotukdeals with an original price of £5.20, which may be true as the paperback is currently £12.46
Link to original deal seen on hotukdeals.

The book is by Elliott Wallen, please do message in this topic if you are on the forum Elliot
Link to purchase on Amazon UK
Make sure to click on the ‘buy for free’ button, and you will get a free copy of the book. This is different to the kindle unlimited service which requires an active subscription and the kindle Unlimited books are unable to be read if there is no active subscription. As with past free promotion kindle books this is likely to increase to a paid book after the promotional period.
You don’t need a kindle device to read. And can be read with their free apps, or even web browser.
I am not affiliated with the author, nor have read the book myself, only sharing as I thought it may be of interest to some of our members.

Edit: This book was/is free at the time of posting this topic. Please check via the Amazon link to see if it’s still available.

Had these show up today with thanks to @caf84. A set I've been eyeing up for a long long time but either always to late or not in a position to jump on them when they do come up (which isn't often). An absolute gem of  series and the beginnings of another one. The full black flag series and the first of the pirate queens series all in 1oz silver.

Some of the posts on here are just plain daft.  Trade PMs with my neighbours??  Really??  Given that most of my neighbours are a worthless bunch of moronic cretins with no practical skills and for the most part no purpose in the world other than to sit farting in front of their TVs in between visits to Macdonalds, why on earth would I want to trade with them, and for what?   Some utterly ridiculous fairytale ideas coming out on here I'm sorry to say.
99.99% of my idiot neighbours wouldn't know what a silver or gold coin was if they fell over it. Even if they did know what it was they would have no use for it,  and I'd bet that's probably the case for 99.99% of the rest of the country.
Barter might work in some scenarios but if or when CBDCs are introduced they will be sold as a saving grace and a solution to every problem, they will be pushed hard by the goverment and their lackeys in the news media as something absolutely wonderful,  and welcomed with open arms by the average grinning idiot.  Most of them are more than halfway into their shackles already with their Apple Pay, their Paypal,  and all their social media apps and all the rest of it.

    I went for:
    BUNC 50p
    BUNC Crown
1oz Silver Proof "Ounce Coin" (I couldn't see a BUNC option?)
Can't see the point spending anymore than that. I am basically getting them for the sake of having an example of each.
I can't bash RM too much to be honest. The magnitude of the event was always going to see demand at a unique level.
An unlimited BUNC option for each design (allow everyone to have one) and limited PM mintages is what should have happened, but they are a profit making business.

To be honest, I can't think of another company I've bought from that use the RM model of pay on dispatch not purchase. Isn't there an argument to say that the way RM are doing it this time is the right way?
What do Chards, Atkinson, BBP etc do?

Mini Budget - Immediate Effects on Precious Metal Prices and Pound Sterling Exchange Rate
I have just read on BBC News:
    Summary
In a massive shake-up of the UK's finances, Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng has outlined a series of tax cuts and economic measures he says will boost growth It's the biggest tax-cutting event since 1972, the director of the Institute for Fiscal Studies says The basic rate of income tax has been cut to 19p and the 45% top rate of tax for higher earners abolished - although this doesn't apply in Scotland The threshold before stamp duty is paid in England and Northern Ireland has been raised to £250,000 - for first time buyers it's £425,000 The cap on bankers' bonuses has been lifted, and a planned rise in corporation tax has been scrapped An increase in National Insurance has been reversed, and low-tax investment zones will be set up across the UK Labour's shadow chancellor said it was a plan "to reward the already wealthy" and would not help those struggling most with rising prices I instantly realised this was likely to push the pound down on foreign exchange markets, which it has, currenlty £ = 1.1057
This would also have a corresponding effect on gold and silver prices:
Sure enough, gold £1492, but now about £1489. It could wobble to £1500+.
    Silver relatively unchanged at £17.29
It will be interesting to see where all three of the above prices (GBP, AU, and AG) go in the next few days and weeks.
    😎
