British Monarchs Henry VIII

Recommended Posts

A Notorious King

The Fifth Coin in The British Monarchs Collection

The fifth release in our regal British Monarchs Collection will feature a bold and quite unusual portrait of Henry VIII.

This is the first coin in the collection to feature the official coinage portrait of His Majesty King Charles III on the obverse.

The latest coin will be revealed and available to order from 12pm midday GMT, 30 January.

I don’t personally collect this series, but it seems to be diminishing in interest.  King George I is still available (and Edward took a few days) Henry VIII is certainly a more interesting character, but will you jump in for one without having the rest?

For me it requires that I get up at 3 or  4 AM so the decision is easy.  I am curious to see the portrait.

Unless the Coin Connection has significantly marked up their own prices, it looks like the prices of the silver have increased by a fair bit.

1 oz silver - £135

2 oz silver - £250

https://bidlive.coinsoftherealm-auctions.com/auctions/4-8M7MRM/auction-34?limit=36&search=monarch

Top grade 70s start price £3k below launch RRP and then grading fees atop to add, the sales commission to deduct from hammer price  :(

£12.5k the 5oz gold were/are at launch

£5k for 2oz gold

£2,725 for the 1oz gold

😮I just had an email from a coin place that just showed the coin, no box, I thought it was another cheap thing from these rip off firms … it looks awful! Like someone taking the mickey!🤔🧐

It may not be the best template either. But it seems to have been good times for alcoholics. And for jealous husbands. Did they get rid of their mother in law too?
