Just think, any ordinary Russians who are living under the sanctions in Russia are watching their currency fall. Savings, retirement funds and any wealth they do have... Gone. Which is nothing compared to what's happening in Ukraine of course and those fleeing for their lives.

But any who have physical gold, may preserve their wealth. Those who only have cash, won't have much left at the end of all this.

This is also happening in the U.K.    2 weeks in fuel gone nuts, gas gone nuts.     2 months in and food and inflation will make these rises look small.     Talking to a contractor yesterday and charged £40/hour for tractor and man stirring slurry.    This has to go up £25/hours just to pay the fuel rise.       I’ve  stocked up on non perishable items and would suggest others do the same…………,,,,,,,,,,,,, Stock markets holding up at moment but wouldn’t be surprised if we get a mini crash soon

Well known stacker on TSF had six killos of Gold bars sold everything to buy his ideal home for his family and is extremely happy with his decision even though he could have obtained several hundred $ more as the price Gold ran up to $2k several months later.

If he kept his crypto rather than convert it to gold he may have been able to buy a palace instead by now.      Wander if he is still lurking here

If you know any local farmers go and ask them about fertiliser prices the past year then stand back 😬

Along with other costs going up, these prices haven't made their way into supermarkets yet. It's fertiliser that's bought for this year's crops that are growing still and only be harvested later this year.

Tell me about it…….. I’ve been posting about this for over a year.   More big changes coming with direct payments ending.  Hundreds of thousands of acres going in to just feed birds and wild life and only going to get more

  4. Some people are never going to understand other peoples opinions.  Chards May be charging more for the coins than rrp now but they sold a few to members here on release day for rrp.  They could easily waited till after feb 6th and charged £850.   I think they have got pricing spot on.    They are my preferred business to buy new releases off because they have always delivered excellent quality in a timely manor.     Some members don’t understand the concept of sotd coins by collectors will

A lot of the comments on this and other recent releases has made me wonder... Do people no longer buy coins just because they like them? 🤔

That’s why I didn’t buy.  I’m sure they will have one or two classic designs but they will also have some bad ones.   Personally I think this will go the way of the lunar series and not get to a conclusion

  6. If the proof with a mintage of over 13500 sold out in a day or so and now commanding a premium a sotd will sell out within an hour.     Some new buyers won’t get it but same conversations with the 2017 sotd and proof set went on and can see the drive levels of them now.    I don’t think this will be the last special sov for the jubilee but will be up there with the most sought after.     If they come up for £650 again I’ll be surprised would expect £850+

  7. I have the set but the 2 sov has a bit of frosting missing any one thinking of sending theirs back?   if willing to swap if pay postage both ways and throw in a couple Oz of silver

    pm for details
