For those of us sitting on a nice chunky stack, the silver price seems to be heading in the right direction again.

I expect  gold to get smashed this week by the money manipulators. Chinese gold week. Hang seng closed due to this holiday so the Asian markets won't be buying. Hold tight all. Could be a right kicking this week but another buying opportunity....

I might buy a physical ETF for the short term. Do you think £15 is a good target? Or £17? Probably sell when on the end of the next peak, which should technically be higher than the last one. I would say £23-4 an ounce maybe more spot. Anything over £5 an ounce profit is reasonable I think? I can then reinvest the profit into mining stocks & repeat the process all along the way. Makes sense to me but what do I know, my £5.5k account is -£90 today LOL.

But. But. That is what all the youtubers with an interest in selling me silver told me.

Exit plan with the sterling flatware is four fold,
    1. I have two local dealers who will buy at 80% of spot, (one I've got a good relationship with, I can probably get about 85% of spot). I can sell to these guys within an hour for cash in my hand.
2.A trip to the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter where I can get 88% of spot, but I have to factor in the petrol costs to get there
    3. Offer it on here, probably at a fraction under spot 95%-100%
    4. Go through the tedious route of ebay, and after faffing about with taking pictures, putting up the auction, paypal and ebay costs post office etc, I'd probably get between 95% and 120% of spot.
I'm currently buying at between 75% and 95% of spot, (never above), so I'll probably shift it all though my local dealers. I can work with a 10-15% buy /sell spread. Which is a much better spread than bullion coins in my opinion, which if being bought at say £26, is about 25% over spot, and dealers may give you 5% over spot if you are lucky, the coins are perfect, the heavens have aligned, and the dealer is in a good mood after getting his leg over.  Otherwise you'll get 95%-100% of spot at best, and you'll have to rely on selling here or on ebay to maximise your return.

The 1911 does look cast, and as such not a genuine sovereign. Plus 1911 seems to be quite a common date for fake sovs.

However.........It is still legal to make fake sovereigns in places like Dubai, as long as the gold content is the same. And 1911 does pop up quite regularly with these "Dubai Sovereigns"
I had one of these "fake" sovereigns once, and although it was obviously cast, it was the right size and weight and was made of 22ct gold. So I kept it. I eventually sold it, (on this forum if I remember correctly), letting the buyer know exactly what it was.
If it is exactly the same size and weight as the other sovereign, I personally wouldn't be rushing to get my money back, as you still have the same amount of gold at a really good price.

For those of you who have been around long enough, you would have heard me banging on about the ease of buying silver at under or around spot. Whether its searching your local antique or charity shops, or even perusing that evil entity Ebay, The last 36 hours have been no exception,
I have purchased 1,110g (33.01 ozt) of hallmarked sterling silver for a grand total of £568.10, which at current prices is worth  £705.90 so its around 20% under spot.
HOWEVER....... I cashed in my money sitting in my TopCashback account, which was £62.24, and a £20 ebay nectar voucher that hadn't been used yet, so the price actually dropped to £485.86, meaning I got that silver for 31% UNDER spot.
Ok, this is an exceptional day, but whenever I have been in the mood to snap up bargains on Ebay, I've always found something within a day or two.

People have been predicting the end of the world and the arrival of a New World Order every day of my life , (all 55 years of it), and for decades before. We are told to believe there are puppet masters pulling strings to bring this about. Sorry, but its all a fiction. Humans are just not that good at keeping secrets or putting together long term plans. In fact we're useless at it.
Everything you see today is because the human race is a selfish beast, and because we cant organise a piss up in a brewery, not because of the machinations of an evil overlord. You give the human race wayyyyyyyyy too much credit.
I know that world of PM stacking is conspiracy central, and I know I'm in a tiny, tiny minority that frequent this site, but having been obsessed with and researched conspiracies and other similar topics for over 30 years, this is the conclusion I've come to.
oh and for the record, pandemics have been around since recorded history began, so to think the world being in lockdown is new, shows how little people know about history. Personally I loved the conspiracy stories that circulated in March, especially the Spanish Flu pandemic being exactly 100 years ago, except for the glaring error in that that pandemic started in around 1916.

However, back to the topic. Silver prices,.......... the world is full of people who believe any old nonsense they can read online, so I think all bets are off when it comes to predicting market movements with regards to PM's
