So today I decided I wanted to sell my stack of 30 oz silver coins / bars but then I decided after a chat with a few friendly people I decided to keep going with silver iv only been stacking for 1 month and I have 20 gram of gold and 30 oz of silver if you ask me that ain’t bad.

 

but what has really done my head in today is some people are very anal to beginners and in my opinion of you have experience in this then share it and if you see someone struggling or posting something wrong or not to the expectations of the forum then step in and help.

 

im passionate about this in the last month iv literally dedicated all my spare time to this and I want to become knowledgable as some of you lot and being rude don’t help

I think you are referring to your wanted post and I would like to offer some suggestions.

The forum operates on a reputation basis. If someone with a good reputation offers advice, and they have been here a while, it's probably good advice.

i.e, state what you are willing to pay, it saves on email ping pong 😊

It's probably not a good idea to offer less than spot price for gold, especially on a fractional piece.

I get your frustration and vividly remember being out of my depth when I first joined, there seemed to be the long standing member's in one corner and me winging aimlessly in the other🤣 this all changed when I joined in conversations etc, be respectful and be honest! ( really important) if you don't know something, whether it be pricing etc..ask and you will receive rapid help, don't offer silly prices on items if you're not sure..as you will loose the room very fast.Remember there's no such thing as a stupid question!

Honestly it's a great group of very helpful and extremely intelligent people on here ( present company excluded) nobody will let you get short changed whether buying or selling.

TLDR: join in, build up your trust/reputation which will be invaluable in a few months.

Bully is full of daft jokes and likes a good (and often very rude) laugh.  Definitely no offence intended in his post so lighten up. There's also a certain etiquette on here that if you don't like or agree with a post you just move on and ignore it rather than firing up and kicking off Facebook style.  All the regular members on here get on very well with each other and If you stick around for long enough you'll eventually come to understand how this place works. It's quite a tight knit community and a whole lot different than all your other bog standard places like Facebook, Twitter etc

@flyingveepixie yes after reading more posts I see bully may have been having a joke so my bad and yes I see it’s tight knit on here but I’m just a passionate about precious metals as the next man it’s just I’m a newbie but soon I’ll be deep enuff to class my self as a stacker haha oh and I am not a member of Facebook or any social media it’s for lazy people 😂

Alright bud and welcome. 

Yes some can be harsh but it's good to remember that just like your bipolar that everyone has their own individual quirks and perks but ultimately ant the end of the day members are basically faceless individuals that all go to the same search engine to find a better answer than the next. 

Best to follow your own path. Buy what you like, with the view of how easily it will sell again. Also enjoy it, I'm around 20 years in the hobbie and I still spend 100s of hours toilet time for research, that never goes.

Don't sell up unless you need to. Having a few PM's about you is not a bad thing to have in reserve. 

As you stated in this topic. Like you I'm not on Facebook or any other social media and when I joined the forum it was a bit strange. We all have our differences and the trouble with just text is that all too often the subtle context of what was said can some times be lost. I can defiantly assure you that @HerefordBullyun has a heart of gold even if his humour is a little risqué. On the whole everyone here are very genuine and will always give advise to the best of their ability and from their experiences. Try not to take to heart if a member types something that doesn't sit too well with you. They may just be having a bad day and misinterpreted what you said. Anyhow, The forum has many great members and loads of great advise. 

The more you interact with people on here the more you get to understand peoples passions. Some love gold and only gold, for some it's silver. Others its both and we all love a bit of fun so most jibes are only someone's effort at having a laugh. The more you put in, the more you get out. Please stick with it. Its a great forum full of great people and the work that @ChrisSilver and his team puts in to keep this forum as it is, Is a credit. 

Loads of good deals to be had and if there comes a time you want or need to sell. I don't know of anywhere else that I feel I trust as much. The small monthly subscription for the forum has more than paid for its self in my experience from the few purchases I've made here in comparison to had I just gone to the usual dealers.

Anal?   No brutally honest so they don't get ripped off or buy into BS yes.

and yes I am keeping silver infact I purchased silver today of @theman73 so yes my silver stack is 34 oz silver and 20 gram gold all within a month and a couple days so not bad at all and yes loving the forum to be honest 👍

Thankyou for your message pal and yes I’m new to this but trying 100% to protect my wealth yesterday I was told to also stack cash 💰 which I didn’t even think about so now my weekly budget has gone from £400 to £500 so I can stack £100 cash 😂😂 it’s a hard game to explain to my fiancée 

but yes I’m keeping it simple I’m sticking to Britannias and gold keep it simple unless I really like the look of a coin like the 2023 Una and the lion (that’s a beautiful coin)
