I find it astonishing that anyone would even contemplate buying a 1 Oz gole coin from someone who only joined the platform 2 weeks ago:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Solid-24k-gold-round-37g-Chinese-mint-family-prosperity-coin-heirloom/393529472876

Zero legible markings as to what it is really actually made of.......

This isn't gold but I am speechless. Have been bidding on some pre decimal lately and can't figure out this one.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Victorian-Silver-Half-Crowns-450-Grams-Job-Lot-/403088690000?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0

They also have some florins that have also reached double the price. Am I missing something?

Looks like it's been deleted from Ebay..

“Ultra rear” apparently 👌🏼 Looking at his other sales he seems to specialise in selling viagra as well as ultra rears.

It’s very useful to show people examples like this so they can learn for the future. Some of the offerings on eBay are very dubious.

I wonder if his Viagra pills are fakes to or "blue man pills " as he calls them 😂 seems very dangerous to buy medication from someone who sells fake sovereigns

They have listed it as a proof . So that's why it's in such amazing condition . 🤪

Following up on this 1841 (Fake) Gold Sovereign on Ebay:

I looked at his "Completed Listings", and two of his 1841 sovereign listings are still showing, so it sounds like ebay failed to remove them, or take any sanctions against "CowleyCoins", although I can see no feefback on the two "sales". It is not clear whether the buyers saw sense and didn't pay, or perhaps ebay let him finish the items early, but the prices iin green usually indicate a "Sold" price. Here is a screenshot:

It irks me that he has the cheek to call himself "cowleycoins", as though he is a coin dealer. CowleyCons would be a better name for him.

While looking at his feedback, mostly from sellers, and bearing in mind the Viagra mention above:

"came within 2 day’s" made me laugh.

Perhaps they were genuine after all.

You have to admire the buyer's stamina.

I also noticed this:

"This listing was ended by the seller because the item was lost or broken."

Ebay makes it easy for the crooked seller, having been rumbled, to save face, and lie about the reason for ending the listing.

Wouldn't it be good if he had said "Some TSF members have reported me to ebay as a fraudster trying to sell cheap nasty brass Chinese counterfeits costing about £2 each, to any suckers stupid to buy them for £1000 each. Now I will have to stick to selling fake Viagra instead.

"

I suspect eBay are likely to apply their rather “limp” approach for the sale of knock off viagra!

Side Note. If anyone does take viagra remember not to combine with grapefruit / grapefruit juice.

Grapefruit speeds absorption of many prescription drugs / magnifies their effects, and this is the case for Viagra.

And make sure it doesn't get lodged at the back of your throat...you will have a stiff neck all night 😵

Do you happen to know the maximum or tested amount of grapefruit / grapefruit juice, and whether it is whole juice or pressed? @dicker

Better to avoid soft drinks like grapefruit juice, and switch to a stiff drink or hard liquor, and...

... how much more mileage can we get from these old gags?

Today's little gem from a buyer who seems to specialise in Used Tyres and Socks.

When the photos of the Sovereigns are listed do you think they will be genuine?

What a plank.

Full Sovereign 22ct Gold Coin - dated 1889 - featuring Queen Victoria (Jubilee Head)

This is the actual coin you will receive.

Gold is a great investment in these very uncertain economic times and is forecast to increase greatly in the years to come so now is a great time to buy.

ANY QUESTIONS - PLEASE ASK
