The prices certainly have gone up but I find it comforting that quality and vintage guitar prices only ever travel in one direction and don't suffer from all the fluctuations we have to cope with in the PM world.

That's true. And the pleasure you get from it makes it worth every penny!

I had thought about a nice Les Paul TBF 🤔... but it would kill me only being able to look at it and never play it 😓

🤭 I can play a bit, just for my own amusement though - but I meant not being able to play the guitar because it would drop the value 😔

Oh I see..   I play all my guitars regardless, always have done...😊

😳 guessing you don't have any Valuable 'Case Queens' then? 🤔

Not at the moment although I've had a few in the past.  I've always thought they come alive the more you play them.  Even if I had something like a '57 Gold Top I'd still play it.

Price is the Greatest Tool of Misdirection

The big money knows that there is trouble on the horizon.

Keep your silver close and your gold closer.

It's going East, young man.

Nice one mate.  I used to own a pre-Ernie Ball era Musicman Sabre Bass.  Very rare and almost impossible to find these days.  One of the best basses I ever owned and great for that 1980s Mark King style slapping thing ( although that style is a bit old hat now lol ) I rather stupidly sold it in 1985 when I was skint and wish I hadn't as they're worth a packet now..

Anyway. we're way off topic with this so we better watch out or Chris will be along to tell us off....

Maybe someone should start a guitar thread....🙂
