yes I believe they have different alloys in the old and new Sovs

I do have a bias on Gillicks to be honest, always got tempted to get hold of them but I didn't really want to pay for some that has a ding on the rim or too much scratches. Sometimes is just luck to meet the right ones to get.

may I ask what weigh size is your nugget? I had a thought of getting a 1/10 but then i think it's just too small in size that it is not visually attractive enough.... 😂 and of course the high premium on a fractional

I just finished 2000-2022 and I agree the older colour is superior in every way...I'm stuck with them for the foreseeable 😅 too much stress to not keep at least a week 😁

Might be, but think I’m slightly addicted now 😆

I think you will always get some with slight scratching, but still in very good condition for there age.

I forget, I took these photos the weekend and been busy week. But I’ll get exact later in the week for ya (I think it was 15ish grams).

It is amazing how used to something you become.

In a few years I doubt we’ll even look twice but seeing your posts really made me pause and look at the coins and observe the unfamiliarity. Firstly to see ‘normal’ photos of Charles III on a coin but also to soak in the magnitude of this monumental change of monarch that most of us have never seen.

Spot on mate. I feel this sadness when I don’t see the queen on this coin.
