Jeff, the term man fat here in the UK doesn't mean fat that accumulates on a man. Well, not as I think you suggested, and of course each to their own.
Perhaps fat,  in a man, that may, on occasion leave said man. Normally at times like birthdays, and Christmas. Or other times you may count yourself lucky.

Surely the 'dealers sub forum' was conceived to solve this?
The trade section is for private sales, no matter your membership status.

I've reported dubious coins to @ChrisSilver and the moderator team before and the sales posts have been hidden pending the seller's response. The system works well.
Remember, the admin team are enthusiasts, not experts, as are the sellers. I'm sure there is no malice involved, it's easy to make mistakes.
It's how the mistakes are rectified that matters. As Steve said,
That's what makes this forum the best.
 
As for the 'other' problem,
I completely agree, it's annoying. 

But wait...
Duncan is now a platinum business seller, his listings are comprehensive, well written, with great photos, specifications and reasonably priced. He's an asset to the forum as his many customers will testify.
Perhaps, and it's only a suggestion, he should have a dealer sub-forum or indeed become a forum sponsor? He needs his own space!

I can’t comment on FB as I am not a member, but in most places much the PM and Numismatic community is a friendly one, with people willing to give their time and expertise for free and with good grace.
A good example is new members asking “which gold coins should I buy first”. I and many others answer the same question many many times with good grace (not saying as happens on other non PM forums “read the effing forum before asking stupid questions”), forum members opinions differ a little but we are here to help and share.  People appreciate the help and it keeps the forum friendly and positive.
Personally, I have learned lots from people like @LawrenceChard @sovereignsteve @Roy - the list is endless.  I don’t necessarily always agree 100% but that’s part of life.
All I have to say is that you will get more out of the forum by working *with* the good folk who post here.
