KevinFlynn reacted to Centauri167 in Are you still buying gold now its went up in price?
I stopped buying when gold reached around 48000-49000 euro/kg. 50000 euro/kg is my stop limit for the moment. It is now 52377 euro/kg.
I think the next days/ weeks it will still get higher but when inflation will keep getting worse, intrest rates will go much higher and gold will get a big dip, at that moment I will start buying again. Lesson one in investing, that they teached me, never buy at the top !

Think of weight, not price, people 👆
I'm not price insensitive, but I'm always happy when I can convert cash to gold.

KevinFlynn reacted to gSiera in Queens beasts - what is a good buy price
Thanks for your answer, to he honest beasts are my first series and I really like them so I would like to complete the series one day.
If I find a decent price and availability I could buy few more as a potential resale pieces in the future. Even though for this purpose I buy kangaroos as from what I read are decent with milk spotting.

KevinFlynn reacted to Mrbigah in hello everyone - new member brighton.
Hi everyone.
I've been a member for a while, although have mainly stuck to the bullion Facebook groups where I'm quite well known as Aidan Howard.
Since I'm collecting a selling a few bits of my collection these days I figured i would see what the Silver forum has to offer as I've heard lots of good reviews. I've helped out one member by providing him with date of sovereign he required!
hopefully when I'm able to list a few things ill get to meet a few more of you! I collect 1/10ths and young head sovereigns mainly!
out of interest how are photos posted on the forum? do i need to host them on photobucket or similar?
cheers!
aidan.

KevinFlynn got a reaction from Gordy in My first buy I but..
I am finding 100g silver bars between 102 and 150 Euro, with a median at 106. So I'd say you're okay with 110. Banks are always a bit more expensive than other dealers, but they are great for a first buy if it builds up trust in yourself.
Any chance of a few pictures of your newly acquired bars? 🤗

Stunning 1912 Canda $10 dollar gold coin rare low mintage only 1912 - 1914 with the 1912 being the rarest, brought to you in high definition mint state lustre!!
Canada’s First Gold Coin
Canada produced its first gold coin in 1908, but that was a UK Sovereign.
Four years later, came the $10 gold and it was unmistakably Canadian.
Each coin is struck on a 900 Fine Gold 26.92 mm planchet and weighs 16.72 Grams (.4838 oz Fine Gold). The obverse features a crowned portrait of King George V. The reverse bears Canada's Coat of Arms which was originally adopted in 1868
Almost all of the gold used for the coins came from the nearby Klondike River Valley in the Yukon Territory, the site of one of the largest and most frenzied gold rushes in history.
Short-lived
With the outset of the First World War, the Canadian gold coin program was closed in favour of gold bars.
As Canadians fought the war, its government took a tight hold of its gold reserves, with almost all of the coins produced for circulation never reaching the public.
Instead, they were tucked away in the vaults of the Bank of Canada.

I will, I have nothing else to buy... 😄
I have no real idea when I would stop buying gold. I bought at under €1000 once, now I'm buying at over €1500 - I'm telling myself every Euro spent on gold is an Euro saved.
