Today these 2 coins arrived. The Panda 2022 in a very nice motif as I find as well as the commemorative coin from Germany "Birth of Christ" as a Christmas coin. The weight is 22g and is made of fine silver 999. Greetings from Maxe

Silver Proof Gothic Crowns............I'm embarrassed to say I bought  these as a novelty and did not realise just how good they are, they are just as good as any Perth Mint silver proofs I've seen and that's high praise from me.  A great collectors set.

An interesting coin for a number of reasons. Not least because the Royal Mint denied it even existed.
But perseverance won the day and  I was able to order one from the Royal Mint!!!
My understanding is that it is only the third time the Royal Mint has issued a 1oz Platinum Proof Britannia.
The other two occasions were in 2007 and 2008 but only in 4 coin sets.

another day and another cheeky lil purchase, a couple of 1g bars courtesy of @VeracityM will be giving these as gifts to family members. Start them early on the gold 😉

Got both my 2022 Proof Sovereigns today. Very well packaged and no issues with the capsule or coins so it seems. Very happy.

Finally got a Napoleonic issue from the Rome mint - 1813 gold 20 francs 

Far from exciting but at sub £300 then one didn’t take a lot of thought.

My first ever hand poured silver.
The start of another slippery slope methinks

While some members here were eagerly waiting their 2022 Proof Sovereigns, I have been waiting patiently for the release of 2022 Chinese Mint Pandas. 
Picked up two AG and two AU. The design of the 2022 Pandas is both appealing and delightful IMO. 
Edit: The AU pandas here are from the Shanghai Mint. Goodness knows why they are sealed on 3 sides only !!! 
When questioned, the dealer showed others and they are that way when released 🤔

The Eagle (or lion and unicorn in this case) has finally landed.

Slowly ticking these off the off my list. The 20th Anniversary of Ghanaian Independence gold commemorative coin. Though produced by the royal mint historic Ghanaian coins are hard to find. They pop up in auctions around Europe from time to time do when I see them I grab them. Have a couple arriving next week then I’ll just have 2 outstanding. Off to NGC this goes to be preserved

Well for me this is the coin off the year. I dont really get excited by bullion minted coins anymore but this one has me all hot and flustered 😂 Absolute BELTER of a coin from Minting to presentation
