First purchase since my return to the Forum. (Thanks Byron)
Most expensive gold I have ever purchased most having been picked up before 2017. Can't complain about that.
Nice looking piece, but am undecided about the new colour. Half the stack are sovereigns, but I have nothing after 2012, until now.
Welcome back BB. Not such great deals on the pre owned at Atties these days unfortunately

I didn't even get any communication from the mint to say this one was being released today.
Yes they said they are not selling to you anymore, they believe you must have shares in the Royal Mail or something similar😄

Personally I love the series as a collection, irrespective of secondary market performance. Everything except top notch older stuff is in the toilet.
This applies to other alternative investments, not just coins. It’s a buyers market in everything.
I’ll continue with the 1 oz silver to the bitter end, something to look forward to and keep me committed.
I like your outlook mate. I just wonder if they will pull the series if sales don’t improve sharpish. They dumped the lunar series quickly. With a series as large as this and with as many versions gold/ silver sizes etc I do wonder.

Hope you get it sorted sorted mate, stick at it .
I know very little about eBay, I assume there is no way of finding out how many times a person has disputed sales (I.e. potentially scammed) over a set period of time? This would be useful information and should be available to sellers IMO, especially on high value items. A few disputes could be expected, a track record of this could be avoided as could newly setup accounts. -

Charles II: The ‘Merry Monarch’
The Seventh Coin in The British Monarchs Collection
The British Monarchs Collection continues with a coin commemorating Charles II.
The seventh coin in the collection and the latest release for the House of Stuart, the 2023 Charles II coin features a remastered portrait originally designed by John Roettier.
Known as the ‘Merry Monarch’, Charles II was a popular king during his reign, which saw the end to the Puritan era.
The latest coin will be revealed and available to order from 12pm midday BST, 8 June 2023.

It feels that way, and I think it's unfair for us in North America, we won't know about hot releases until we wake-up and everything would be sold out by that time........
Special thanks to "Numero" for notifying us today.
At least you don’t have to wake up at an ungodly hour to watch the biggest boxing matches which are always in favour of NA audiences. Save Ali who was happy to fight in Africa at times.

Was thinking the same thing, had to check what it was they had actually sent me before i got excited. Will be a very rare occurrence for me to buy direct from the mint again. When the dealers are cheaper and also QC'ing coins, it makes little sense to buy direct.
Other than interest free tick which is a big plus, I totally agree.

I wouldn’t put much store in what the COA number is, I doubt they do these in any sequence and just chuck a coin and a cert in a box. Even when buying multiples, COA tend to be non sequential. That said, my coin was orientated correctly in the box on this one. Not sure if this was just by pure chance.
I think this Henry is ok but you have to be looking at it from a certain angle( not straight on) My first coin with Charley boy on it also. Looked liked there was a scratch and he was smoking a fag at first. Turned out to be a bit of debris inside the cap. , good old RM. -
Why is Chards so cheap?

I have the 1oz silver on its way apparently.
