"Due to unprecedented demand we ask for your patience, as your orders may take longer to despatch"
Quote from Atkinsons today, Keith have you been paying them a visit? Seriously though, can we read more into this? HGM still has stock.

. If we do see further drops I hope the dealers do not up their premium to compensate.

Could well see sub £10 before the US shuts up shop tonight

I bought the last of EMK's ellies.
Maybe they will restock but they've gone at STG.
10x 2015s
3x 2014s
I just bought a tube of Ellie's with my latest purchase from STG last week. Was not sure what to go for, looks like I made a good call for once.

3x "mixed year" 1/10oz Gold panda coins, in OMP (original mint packaging, finally worked that one out guys, unless you are going to tell me I am totally stupid again ) (( I hate abbre.))
I was hoping for 3 different years but all the same unfortunately. Will phone to check years before placing order from now on. Live and learn. Nice looking coin from our sponsors though, coininvest.

not been this cheap for around 6 months , but I still have to question , the price is now lower as everyone is selling
therefore why rush in
never catch a falling knife and all that
Half your order now and half later. If it goes down split the difference. If it goes up again, split the difference. Unless you know for certain that this price will drop further? A default or skirmish somewhere out of nowhere could send the price 10%+ upward

Today I bought two bullion sovereigns from HGM.
Yesterday I bought my first half sovereign, a shield back, from Madstacks. Along with an 1891 full sovereign.
Your really getting into the yellow stuff these days Danny

Well done SS, what's your next target?Today I received a 10oz Sunshine Mint silver bar from the forum's FTYBR. Pleasure dealing with you, it's a great looking lump of silver.
This takes my silver stack up to the magical 100oz
I have yet to hear someone say that they have reached their target and are stopping there.

Getting close to the magic 100 SP. You may have to dig out that monster box after all

@TCSilver looks like your pandas are trying to flip themselves before you get a chance to!

Spot prices for both silver and gold have been very static for well over a fortnight now, what's going on? Anyone thing we are in for a big lunge either way, calm before the storm so to speak. I hope it's not down, I need so time to save cash to exchange for the real deal.
-
Slim pickings at HGM at the moment.
Currently available: 1 Kruger, 4 half sov's only!
-
Silver to gold ratio has edged just over 74 for the entire weekend now if significant to anyone.

This is how I see it ( at the moment anyways, plenty time for revision )
I could put my fiat( actually it's a vw )into highly collectible gold and silver, have no interest in it and deprive real collectors from a potential prized purchase. Plus side I could flip in 6 months to a couple of years and make a healthy profit.
However I foresee/expect a real SHTF scenario before this decade is out for well publicised facts, stats etc and In this situation I can see no value in holding numismatics/ collectible coins as like bullion, they will be worth their weight in gold/ silver only pretty much. I would be devastated to trade in my prized proof coins for bullion value in these circumstances. I do wonder if this scenario ever crosses collectors minds? That said If I had a more positive view of the future I am sure my strategy would be different.
Like I say this is my current view however I am open to others points of view and am more than open to the views of others who are more knowledgeable in this area than I. My gold stack currently consists of mainly Britannias and sovs, this is a hedge against capital gains tax, should I ever be in that bracket. If this was not the case I would consider different world coins, at bullion prices, to add a bit of variety. My silver stack, I add semi numies to hedge against the status quo in 3/4 years time to sell and add bulk to my stack. I believe there is a lot of knowledge required in attempting to get your PM strategy on track.

Looks like the Royal Mint have finally started doing gold bullion bars. Their prices remain on the expensive side however.

Just seen the thread for privy horse, ignore. Hope these land okay.

Just purchased a sizeable ( for me ) order of mixed silver from STG. Did not notice that there are delayed delivery dates for some until after I completed the order, doh!
I got a tube of privy horse britannias with this order. Read somewhere that there were issues with marks on some of the Britannias, anyone know if these are affected?
Today I bought.....
in General Precious Metals

$5 liberty head
1/2 sov, 2002 shield
1/10oz PM year of horse, all gold
Note to self, next purchase must be silver, and repeat!
