A fascinating thread here. I think the thing I respect the most from @LawrenceChardis the certainty that what I am buying is legit. I like the fact you are experts at certifying sovereigns. Worth a premium!

Chards work out cheaper than Atkinsons for 25 even when taking postage into account. (This is for 2021 sovereigns).

I'm a Chards fan - not seen many dealers offering better value. Keen to hear if there better value dealers others have dealt with

@Abyss suggestion is spot on.
But I have a cheaper way. Take 1 GBP, Go back in time (10 years or so), invest that one pound in those damn crypto's, fast forward to today, sell those crypto's and spend it all (except that one pound) on @ChardsCoinandBullionDealer sovs!
That must be the cheapest way!

Different dealers have their 'best value' sovs. Atkinsons were cheapest when I was shopping a couple of days ago.
I did look at Chards though they were 'orderable' they weren't 'in stock'. I've used HGM and BBP in the past too but on this occasion were more expensive. I also picked a few up off the forum just depends on the day what people have for sale.

These are also now out of stock though it does seem to update by the day

I am unsure more competitive dealers selling sovereigns in the UK. Private sales on the forum / Facebook groups.

Today's little gem from a buyer who seems to specialise in Used Tyres and Socks.
When the photos of the Sovereigns are listed do you think they will be genuine?
What a plank.
Full Sovereign 22ct Gold Coin - dated 1889 - featuring Queen Victoria (Jubilee Head) This is the actual coin you will receive. Gold is a great investment in these very uncertain economic times and is forecast to increase greatly in the years to come so now is a great time to buy. ANY QUESTIONS - PLEASE ASK

My government takes a huge amount every month, which is then given to others. At the time when I will be on the receiving end, I will be getting a mere pittance 😪
I cannot bring myself to save into additional pension schemes that are then locked till retirement. So I am saving and investing into assets under my own control. The most likely best scenario will be to work until I die...

TommyTwoShots reacted to FlorinCollector in Why are people stacking Silver over Gold when there is a VAT on silver?
IMO: People stack silver due to the pumpers telling them they can become rich. I find on the forum people start stacking silver and after some time realise their losses and change to stacking gold.
I think normal people thinking silver can go to $100 or whatever the made up number is gives them a bit of hope. However, none of these people offer sound financial advice and when people lose the pumpers are not held accountable.
Any investment that you start in the hole at -20% and then even further minus due to premium should be a red flag for most.

physical silver britannias with stock on sale at £22/toz posted. maybe the lowest it's been in months.
you said something about buying all the physical metal I have at pre drop prices, there's good news,
you can likely buy more physical metal than I have at lower than pre drop prices.
who needs to recognise proof when you can keep on kidding yourself that the futures paper market
has no bearing on the current physical market?

No idea its broken strong support.
Hopefully it might bounce somewhere around £14.20 ish if it carries on down.
Im hoping for £12 or there abouts as I don't own any silver stocks.
Im flogging £3k of silver tomorrow (price locked in) for it, so thats good.
One thing for sure im waiting for it to prove its going back up, unlike gold recently!!
