I don’t want to give the royal mint too much credit yet as the coins not shipped and qc may be off BUT they should be given credit for putting up all 4 coins on the website this morning.   They could sell out 10 times over without going online but everyone here had the opportunity to get hold of one and 3 of the 4 purchased by people on this thread. Time will tell now if they honour all orders and quality control has been sorted.   So far well done the royal mint

I haven’t looked at 1oz pricing lately but queens beasts maybe £15 more.    3or 4 pints or a takeaway.   I’d spend the extra and have something nice to look at.    People get hooked up on premium but a few £ either way you’ll forget about in a week.       If you want to stack bullion go for sovs as easier to move on and not get attached to.      I maybe selling some gold in a few months because my wife wants to re do our house but it will be hard to part with pandas/nobles/ lunars but not sovs

    Update:
We did see a small sales spike mainly late in the weekend, but nothing crazy.
This morning we are hearing that the Royal Mint are not accepting bullion orders, and premiums are being increased just about everywhere.
We have managed to cover all bullion coins sold, but who knows when we will get deliveries!
We have also increased many of our premiums on bullion items, but only by enough to cover the increased premiums we are being asked.
Currently bars have not been affected, but it could spill over to them.
Gold:Silver ratio came down to below 63, so it has halved since I was "pushing" it at 126.
    Platinum still looks cheap.

Sure, I have as little insight into this as anyone else.
Having been aware of the WSB and GME fun and games, ZeroHedge or Seeking Alpha mentioned that the Reddit crowd might look at silver next. Sure enough silver did pop up by between £1 and £1.50; and the Gold:Silver ratio dipped below 70:1 to 68.3.
It will be tremendously entertaining if these guys do crowd into silver, and do a Bunker Hunt.
We have not seen any sales spikes in silver, and I remain quite happy about that, as transport and deliveries are still problematic, due to both Covid and Brexit. Freight rates are still high, you may have seen reports about them being up by a factor of about 8. If we get huge sales spikes, we should be able to consolidate shipments, keeping unit shipping costs low, but on the other hand, it sounds like most mints are having transport and supply problems with blanks. This may cause greater backlogs, which we don't like, but have to deal with.
If the conspiracy theorists seize on mint supply and delay problems, they may concude that demand is higher than it actually is, or that silver as a commodity is in short supply, creating publicity to that effect, and start, drive, or feed hysteria for investors, speculators, and gamblers, to pile into silver.
As we sell silver bars and coins, we will be happy to try and service some of this demand, but we may get swamped if it turns into full-blown hysteria.
We will maintain a market, and our buying prices should not chnage much relative to intrinsic.
I think you are right that a silver play is unlikely to get as crazy as GME.
I don't go along with the conspiracy theories that silver is manipulated, at least not in a major way.
We will still be buying silver, but did I menton that I think platinum is too cheap, certainly when looking at the Gold:Platinum ratio, currently about 1.71 compared with typically about 1.0 for much of the past 40 years. Platinum price has been below gold since about 2001, and i think it is overdue to recover.

@LawrenceChard you will have as much insight as anyone on this.     Have physical sales taken off this weekend?    If silver does skyrocket will you be paying what you are now or will you hold off until it settles.
personally I can see it going up but not as big as game because the market in silver is too big world wide with too many holding where as with the shares it’s easier to do.   Don’t get me wrong I think silver is manipulated and not where it should be but can’t see it going to the moon..... As much as I would like it to.        Next question.  Who will buy when we want to sell?
@ChrisSilver any upsurge in members in the last week?

    To short a stock:
Borrow shares from your broker, immediately sell them at the current market rate, lets say £10 share, this drives the price down (or as a PI without millions to play with you judge it when you think a share is going to tank) When the market bottoms, buy the shares back at lets say £5 a share Give the shares back to the broker, position closed. You pocket £5 a share with Gamestop:
Hedgefund took a massive short (i.e. borrowed a lot of stock and sold it), driving the price down, the share capitulates as stops are triggered etc and the share sinks even lower. Funds can hold these positions for a long time sometimes, trying to drive the price even lower before they close. (destroying PI's, companies, pension funds etc on the way) Reddit guys decided to go on a massive buy run, pushing the price of the share up, fast and so far past the entry point (sell point) of the hedge fund that they exceeded the value of the entire hedge fund at $13.1bn at one point. The hedge fund hung on hoping the the price would crash again, it didn't Hedgefund eventually gave up it's position and started buying the stock back to give back to the broker, pushing the share price up even further. With silver ( or gold or btc for that matter)
as discussed in this thread, some of the large funds, banks etc have held PM back for a longtime by selling heavy (going short) for many reasons (and lots of other dirty tricks), assuming you take the position PM should have gone up a lot more than it has for many reasons. There's a big pump going on now all over social media to try and push silver to the point that these big funds need to start buying the silver back as it would cross the point they loaned it and sold it at, as was the case with GameStop. who knows, it may happen, only takes for one big fund to get shaky, especially after what happened this past week and start closing their position and this then increase the price and causes more to close (buy) so on and so forth - its very much the opposite of what the financial institutions have been doing to PI's for years.  I might not have all the details totally right, but this it a basics of it...
