StackemHigh got a reaction from James32 in Devon & Cornwall Police Forced To Pay The Price For Coin Fiasco
So the use of commemorative royal mint coins can't be used to pay for fuel or goods!
Then what about the £2 commemorative coins shakespear or DNA double helix or even the 50p Paddington bear?
Headline ' Post office refuse £2 coins as customer wants to buy stamps to return damaged royal mint proof coin'

StackemHigh got a reaction from Lindeman in The Perth Mint Swan silver series
Not a series for me just too bland and a bit repetitive. You can't beat Perth Mint for a quality product though. The royal mint should take not of this but as we all know that they won't! That would cut into their huge premiums!

StackemHigh got a reaction from CollectorNo1 in Is It Worth Grading A Coin If You Can See Milk Spots?
I wouldn't bother getting a coin graded with milk spots. But how quaint to see another royal mint coin with them.

What about more Paddington coins or Beatrix Potter?
I haven't seen any coins coins recently from the rm starring Geoffrey Chaucer, Thomas Hardy or even D.H. Lawrence surely an oversight at the rm! Heads will roll.

StackemHigh got a reaction from DuperDash in Four quarter ounces or one ounce?
I like to hold some different sized gold coins and bars in my stack. I've got 1/10, 1/20, 1/4, 1/2 and 1oz coins and 5g, 10g, 20g and a couple of 50g bars to choose from incase i do need to sell i can lift the value of gold needed to save selling extra gold that i don't need to.
I'd start small slowly working up to larger weights to give the best flexability when selling if it's needed.

StackemHigh got a reaction from dicker in One auction too many yesterday?
Last time i looked at a slabbed coin on the internet what a shock i got. A ten pack of unused slabs with preprinted labels! The idea is i believe to put cleaned coins that wouldn't get the desired grade in the slabs to sell on. Real coins real slabs and still a real con.

StackemHigh got a reaction from west6 in QEII Why do collectors/stackers have a problem with our Maj?????
Have you seen some of the obverse depictions of the queen on the commonwealth coins?
There are some truly terrible obverse designs out there. Just look at the 2021 maple OMG.
And of course there will be folk out there that don't like the queen or any type of royalty on any coin from any nation.

StackemHigh got a reaction from SilverJacks in Am I mad....?
I've bought some slabs to complete sets. sometines a high grade sometimes a lower grade then pop the slab and into a cap then into presentation cases.
I know some will think this totally mad but i like collecting semi-numi older and modern coins.
@Alun does some lovely presentation cases for collectors like myself.

StackemHigh got a reaction from Booky586 in Milk Spots on Silver Coins
I was under the impression that fine silver is most at risk of milk spots at 999.9 but with sterling silver or 500 silver milk spotting is negligible.
