I am not sure to be honest, struggling to get detailed enough pictures with it being in a slab.
It may be caused by the die clash but I don't think soAlso with this 1872M, it has a 180 degree error rotation. Interesting.

Todays arrivals from @BriEarl
The 1872M is a very interesting coin indeed, I have put a close picture of the obverse below to see if the eagle eyed among you can see what has got me so excited about this coin
The 1872M is an interesting one…

The SotD Sovereign also has an edition limited of 750 but a max mintage of 860.
So assuming 10 are for Trial of the Pyx etc., the remaining 100 might be for some set in combination with some other Sovereign.
And here goes the 100 pcs. Released today.

It’s almost a day after launch and the SoTD is still available.
i wonder what the mint would do if the demand/pre-order is less than the maximum mintage? Do they mint less on the actual day?

Just curious, anyone seen the official coronation medal?
In commemoration of the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, we are releasing a coronation coin collection. Commemorating His Majesty The King’s historic coronation, the collection features three new reverse designs, which are available across a range of commemorative coins, struck in a number of editions and sizes. The collection also features a coronation medal that is exclusively available from The Royal Mint Experience.

Do we also have the crowned portrait for the SoTD coronation sovereign? This would make it quite special!
-
Looking forward to only the Coronation Sovereign.
(With a limited budget i have) What else could best represent the Coronation of the Sovereign? 😄 -
Finally received mine.
Looks good overall, but the rim/edge is a little disappointing with some scratches and wordings that are not aligned in the center (some parts higher some parts lower) 🙄
-
On the bright side, maybe we will have less issues with opened capsule during transit (?).
Anyone know how these capsule holds together? I have not seen such coin capsule before. 🙂

Was not so convinced initially on the design but it looks better with more pictures and video surfacing.
Logged into RM, placed order for 2oz silver and logged out. Surprised that they are still available after a day! 😄

“The bullion coin range will be available for pre-sale from 31 January 2023.”
https://www.royalmint.com/sovereign/register-your-interest-for-bullion-memorial-sovereign/... and they will be dated 2022 when launched in end January 2023.
And logically assuming there should be a bullion 2023 version.
What a busy year for Sovereign collectors. LOL...
