That’s nothing, I was watching Dickinson’s Real Deal a few weeks ago and someone was selling sovereigns to the dealer. But that’s not it, it gets much worse.

The dealer then picked up one of the sovereigns and what he said next nearly made me cry, I don’t think @LawrenceChard should read this. Ever. 😆

He said, oh god, here we go, it’s bringing back a bad memory. He said “So we have some gold sovereigns here” as he held the reverse side to the camera, he said, “Here we see Britannia on the horse”.

It ruined my day!! Absolutely ruined it. 😬

Unfortunately I haven’t.

It was late February I’d say, but it’s on every weekday and that’s a lot of clips to go back through.

I was too traumatised to think to record it. 😆

recently. watched an episode of Lovejoy 😀 where he discovered all the old curtains were weighed down with sovereigns which scattered all over the floor, he said 7 windows 14 curtains at 50 pounds a sovereign lol, trying to mock up a quick Tardis 🤣
