good luck everyone, see you at the finish line

The ones with the pre orders are akin to those with the inside horse racing knowledge…holding their betting slips knowing which horse is going to win, whilst watching everyone around them screaming during the process and then either falling to their knees to cry or jumping up and down in excitement…all along, with a good dose of ‘smug’, they just sit there smiling……

They left the 2017 out of this image for some reason

The 2017 was to celebrate the anniversary of the Pistrucci design….nowt to do with Lilibet.

Not overly impressed with the crispness of the lines on the design. They could have done so so much better with the lines. Still, an event coin, so I doubt anyone will be put off.

They may have some additional lines (scratches) for one customers. Thrown in for free!!

The lion looks like he's been watching Athlean-X a little too much. It's a reasonable design but they could have scaled the two animals a little better. I understand you need artistic license to balance the design but it looks a little 'off' to me. It is also too much like the other Royal Arms coins previously released, something more unique to the sovereign would have been nice.

It's enough for me to pass for sure on a proof, I'll pick up some bullion versions if they put them out though.

That said beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so have fun dudes.

While waiting for the queue at RM, here are some mintage figures for the Sov and half sov...

So if the mintage for the singles is 10,500 and the sets are  “no more than” 1,000 each, there may be up to 13,500 singles or am I missing something ?
