I so want a ‘58 but need to offload some silver before I’m in the market for one.

Hi @Sovhead can you confirm the Die number on the 1866?  I am creating a more detailed view of Marsh Die numbers and would like to check yours!

The Sovereign is the quintessentially British coin.  It has a German queen on the front, an Italian waiter on the back, and half of them were made in Australia.

The photos are nice.  I have a soft spot for KOMSCO and Perth mint.

The same. Two mints you always know the products quality will be of highest level. Superb designs as well, and Komsco does a great job in adding smth different from usual animals/nature/lunars/etc. motifs.

Yes, there's definitely a bit of a manga vibe about the Zi:Shin and Chiwoo series.  Not sure what the origin of the characters is, whether from traditional folklore, religious texts or just something they came up with on the day, but they are very cool.

I guess that KOMSCO being a state mint, they're probably grounded in traditional folklore or some such.

A little google-fu, and it looks like this chap out of traditional folklore might be the basis -

I noticed 4 or 5 of the chiwoo coins at Atkinsons pre owned site, they look really good
