It turned out to be a shiny 2014 which is ok as it's my first sovereign with the G&D design.

I contacted them first to see which years they had and then made the request on the order form. They only had 6 in.

They did have some older 1oz in stock too. Not In OMP but they're not asking for any additional premium neither.

I wouldn't normally post in this thread, but got a pretty decent haul of shield sovereigns delivered today and thought why not!

 

1871 shield sovereign x 3

1871 Sydney shield sovereign x 2

1872 shield sovereign x 4

1879 Melbourne sovereign... yeah i know i couldn't help myself, but happy with this lot.

 

I also received an order from HGM

1873 Sydney shield sovereign

At first glance this looked like a great coin, but in natural light it was apparent that some bugger had decided to polish it!

2012 double sovereign commemorative 4 portrait coin.  This is a stunning coin, but with a slight scratch.  In two minds about what to do about this one.

Got my 1oz brit today as well , if I wasn't as honest as I am I would sa6 that I haven't received it as once again it was just left in my porch . Crazy that a high value item requires no signature.
