Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

Roll of 20 First majestic Mayan rounds, strangely my first full roll of anything.

Today I also received a a roll /tube of First Majestic Mayan rounds, and strangely it is also my first full roll of anything. I won't bother sticking up a pic as MH has already beat me to it.

I have a little confession though............I did have a little fondle of them before I put them back in the tube, and I wasn't wearing gloves,

5 oz coins seem bad value, but usually low mintages and needed for sets, I had to wait for a good deal on my 5 oz perth horse or i would not have paid what STG wanted and been without it .

I don't know what it is about 5 ozers they are not very popular I've never got into them,I only have 1  5 ozer a panda.

The problem with common sense is, its not that common.

Does that make them worth more or just take up more room?

Probably worth a little more in the card but they take up so much more room to store.  I'm going to chuck them into a box with the other odd bits which don't go into tubes.  I wonder if these were removed from the gift pack box or whether RM sold them in this form.  They confuse me with so many variations of packaging.

I suspect that HGM have binned the outer packaging of these 2011s.

The 2010 britannias came in similar card and out box/sleeves

They should be slightly more desirable than just the standard sheet sealed ones.  How much more I don't know.

So this forum bought all 98 then?

Possibly.  We need someone else to own up to receiving some.  Paul and I bought 30.  Yeti 8.  Who bought the other 30?

I do love this coin. I was pleased it wasn't too beat up. The photo doesn't do it justice, but it does have like a mistake line running from the shield inbetween the r and the u tho. There's a old head Vic shield half on atkinsons I mite get nxt.

yes I can see it. it's caused by a crack in the surface of the die. Nothing to worry about, adds character.

Do you mean the 1846? it's very worn and in generally poor condition. I'm sure you could do better on Ebay.

Profile picture with thanks to Carl Vernon
