Future confiscation won't happen. That's too old school antisocial brute force. It will be capital gains and wealth taxes. While the latter would be helped with anonymity, the former capital gains - should you want to sell to someone legitimate - would be your undoing, because if you can't prove purchase price then you'll get capital gains tax forced on the whole.

Nice thread. I hope more can be added. Quite frankly, you can see why gold attracted even the most prehistoric and basic of humans. It's sun like appearance and total immutability while everything else decays around it is utterly fascinating.

Gold still a little down /  sideways in GBP - been so for about a month or so.  
Not sure what the next trigger will be for up / downward move but the US election doesn't seem to be impacting gold.  My long term view is that if either candidate wins, they will create economic conditions conducive to a rising gold price.

I do like the LMU coins. It's such a shame the coins mostly have pictures of inbred, awkward men on them though.

The 1902 sov seen fine to me.
But I have reservation about the 1911 coin.
It doesn't look right. Judging from the photo, it seems to be a casted copy.
Perhaps others can comment. 

I know!  Shocker isn’t it!
I am sure there are some good PB’s around in terms of gold prices but I have not seen any on the high street.

For ease of use for those looking to purchase coins in a particular metal, please state the metal in the topic title.

e.g.

Instead of writing "30g Panda coin"

Please state "30g Panda Gold Coin" 

It may also be useful to have separate listings for Gold/Silver and not to put them all into one combined listing. There may be some members exclusively looking to purchase Gold or to exclusively purchase Silver.

It is my plan to eventually have a filter system that can be used to easily filter out listings with particular precious metals. But this will require extensive development work to add the options and a filter system. So in the mean time, please state the precious metal in the title of your listing to help out buyers looking for items

Very nice coin.

Finally achieved my goal by adding a 1857 plain head 5 franc at a reasonable price (110 euros).   I  also got a 1/4 Krugerrand at  about 12% below spot from my friend as a gift and gave him my junk-grade Mexican 1920 5 pesos at the same terms.   I'm planning to buy a new LMU 20 franc for my 40th gold coin next week  (or a Sovereign~Half Eagle if the spot price goes below $1900).

At the risk of boring you, I am going to post on this thread articles and photos that reflect on the beauty and value of gold through the ages. 
 
I am particularly interested in treasure wreck gold finds because the artefacts recovered are so frequently discovered in mint state despite being in the sea for hundreds of years. 
 
To start, I thought it would work to post a link to the 1715 fleet society which documents the remarkable find of the below bird on the Florida “treasure coast”.   This find is all the more remarkable because eventually both wings were found.
