Silver is prime to explode IMO. Fiat (mostly USD) is currently rallying, without logic or reason, whilst simultaneously being irrecoverable, regardless of tack, growing an economy and paying off debt without affecting interest rates and running up more debt. Zero chance.

So economic hardship, twinned with a new "greener" outlook, of which silver is a main component, its hard to see these price levels hold much longer.

Obviously everything is speculative unless you're an inside trader but seems a no brained to me.

True but seeing as how silver has just had the perfect storm to cause it to explode and it didn't I'm not seeing how this stands any better chance.

    Media attention from Redit,

    Supply restrictions from covid,

Availability issues from most of the major mints and refineries,

You only need to look at the last 10 years and see its not doing anything it hasn't before and given inflation is around the 20% its less now than it was at the beginning of the year before Russia, fuel hikes ect

Thanks for your thoughts.  I’m mostly a collector- sell a few now and then- so I’m not overly concerned about short term gains.  I have all the coins you mentioned above which I purchased because they are unique and special.  I hope they increase based on their beauty, but even if they don’t I still get to appreciate them as a bit of history I can hold in my hand.

Just look at the 1989 proof sovereign Royal mint couldn't shift them for love nor money to start with now their asking 2.5k. I agree with everything Paul said excluding the 2022 sovereign design. My proof got sent back the same day it arrived.

Anyone have any links to people chatting about the physical market?  Curious to know whether it's just paper shorts being closed, or whether there's a demand on delivery.

I've not seen a jump of 10% in physical prices yet so guessing it's just paper swapping hands

  4. With the shear valve of just the 2oz silver arms and gothic alone rrp is just shy of £2.1million why haven't they brought in automated qc controls that photos each coin prior to packing and rejects any that are damaged or have imperfections? . Most if not all car manufacturers do it to make sure holes are in the right place any defect is then flagged up.
