  1. thanks for the info. I'm just extremely new to stacking so I’m still learning
  2. ahh sweet, what were the main things your were looking at to tell? Also those marks which appear across the queens face in the pictures isn't on the coin, just the casing.
  3. Hi LaurenceChard! To be honest something in the back of my mind is telling me its fake, but it passed the eye test for me & the seller is reputable. It was one of the first coins i brought, the price was a bit silly but i really just wanted it lol heres the item: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/165363681881?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649
  4. Thank you I'll have a look into this! Also, can i be absolutely certain that every Britannia with the security features (2021 onwards) is absolutely real? Im asking because im really getting into precious metals at the moment & im planning on selling some, but i don't have any testing equipment, or should I just test everything anyway?
  5. Hi all, , i bought a platinum coin from ebay and I want to make sure it's real. What the best way to do so? Also with bullion of all metal types. thanks!
  6. You're right, they do stand out and the colour is growing on me. think im going to do your first suggestion. It's hard to hold something when you dont feel 100% about it. Ill sell the 1/4 and keep the half sov & pick up another half in the future & put the money from the 1/4 sov towards a 1/4gold brit
  7. How big are the 1/10 gold Britannia's compared to half and 1/4 sovs? I got a 1/10 platinum brit & its small but bigger than the 1/4sov, so slightly more satisfying to look it. I think i might have to stop playing around and get a 1/4 Britannia, im going to buy one today & Sell the 1/4 sov. Do we need a special membership to sell on this forum?
  8. Hi all, I have two 2022 sovereign coins that I’m not too keen on. 1x half sovereign and 1 quarter sovereign. The only thing that I really like about them are the 2022 redesigns, which I guess makes them special in a way. But I’m wondering if I should buy another 1/4 sov from any year to complete the sovereign, or sell both soverigns and put the money towards a 1/4britannia or a couloir of 1/10 britannias. I really don’t get that gold satisfaction from gold sovereigns at all
  9. When’s i first made this post I wasn’t aware that coins minted by the royal mint were CTG free in the UK. Since this post I’ve. Bought a load of silver, gold and platinum britannias and sovs. So yeah you’re right, when I started to look around and research more I realised just how many options are out there 😄 — for the better. A lot of bars come with a higher premium than britannias which are overpriced as it is
  10. Right now I’m trying to decide between a half sov and 4 1oz Brit silver coins, or 1/10 and 4 1oz Brit coin
  11. Thanks for the advice all. another question, when it comes to buying silver bars which sizes are best to buy? Which sizes are more divisible? thanks edit — sorry I didn’t see @Gruff comments explaining weights
  12. I want to get some silver bars, but I’m unsure what to get. either britannia 1oz, 1oz bar, 50g bar, 100g bar. What brand should I go for and how much should I look to spend on each weight?🤔
