    Hello Everyone!
I've just joined and wish to introduce myself. I've been stacking for a few years now, primarily gold Britannias, and have just retired. I intend to slowly sell my coins over time so as to generate an additional income stream during retirement, as and when needed. I would be grateful for any advice from more experienced forum members as to the best approach to selling here, especially given I have no track record as yet.
    Best wishes.

As the title says, I just realised I'm gonna have to re-mortgage the house if I keep buying PMs at this rate. Started off with getting a little stack together and now I'm obsessed with making it bigger 😋.

    Hi All
Just a heads up that there are (as some may know) some very high quality counterfeit Silver coins in PCGS holders.
A non-TSF friend told me he had seen one in the hand a few weeks and that it was very very well done.   He is not a dealer but does have a collection of hundreds of Morgan’s, oddities rarities, goes to the big US coin shows etc
I am not going to post the link he sent me but will post example pics from the website.
    - PCGS numbers check out at PCGS
    - Rare Morgans, 8 Reales seem to be available
    - PCGS blue labelled slabs mostly listed
    - PCGS Hologram was apparently spot on
    Be careful all!

An article on page 15 of today's Daily Telegraph has this story:

Truffle-hunting puppy becomes gold-digger as it unearths buried treasure on first walk
Ollie, a Lagotto Romagnolo, stumbled upon a small fortune at just ten weeks old

A gold-digging puppy has sniffed out sovereign coins worth nearly £6,000 on its first walk.
Adam Clark, 51, bought Ollie, a Lagotto Romagnolo, as a surprise for his daughter Alicia, nine, last month.
The breed is notorious for digging - especially for truffles. On its first walk around the local fields on March 30, the young dog stumbled upon a small fortune.
To his owner’s disbelief, Ollie instinctively dug up a total of 15 gold sovereign pieces dating as far back as the nineteenth century.
Mr Clark, who works in property, took the coins to be examined by Chards in Blackpool, one of the country’s leading gold dealers, which valued them at £5,943.96.
While the landlord is “thrilled” with the return from the treasure, he believes the real prize is Ollie himself, dubbing the canine his very own “gold hunter”.
    ‘I couldn’t quite believe it’
Mr Clark, from Blackpool, Lancs, said: “When we got him we thought he seemed special. Alicia was over the moon and we couldn’t wait to take him out for his first walk around the gala fields.
“We’d literally been walking for around 10 minutes when Ollie suddenly stopped and started frantically digging away at the soil.
“That’s when he uncovered the pile of gold pieces - I couldn’t quite believe it.
“The treasure is one thing, but, the fact is, I’ve bought myself my very own gold hunter, and I cannot wait to take him out again.
“He is obviously a very special pup and I’m thrilled with what he brings to the table - quite literally!”
Ollie found the coins when it was just 10 weeks old.
Mr Clark added: “I have an allergy to animal hair so we were restricted on what dog we could get.
“We got him from a breeder in Manchester and my daughter connected with him instantly - they’re best friends.
“He cost me £2,000 so after sniffing out the gold he tripled my investment which is always a bonus!”

Jvw reacted to goldsilverdash in My stacking focus and strategy
    Hi all,
I've known about the forum for some time, but didn't create an account until recently. I'm a stacker since about five years. I'm a pure stacker (no interest in collecting). I stack gold and silver (no interest in other precious metals, like plutonium, rhododendron, etc. 😀). This is because unlike gold and silver, other precious metals are not monetary metals, and I do see gold and silver as money. Connected to this belief is also my exclusive focus on coins (no interest in bars, spoons, etc.).
My favourite coins are Krugerrands, Maple Leafs, Philharmonics, and Kangaroos. These four coins, in both gold and silver, is what I focus on in my stacking. They are among the most popular and well-known bullion coins in the world, and usually have low premiums. Focussing on these coins also gives my stack a nice geographical diversity in that they come from four very different parts of the world: Africa, the Americas, Europe, and Oceania respectively. I think this makes for a globally viable stack.
When it comes to gold I like fractional coins. 1/2 oz and 1/4 oz are my favourite sizes despite the somewhat higher premiums these sizes carry compared to the full ounce coins. A full ounce is a lot of money for me to put into gold at any one particular time, but the most important reason is that I want to have a barter friendly stack and smaller gold coins (and silver) seem more suitable for barter situations. My “exit strategy” is to exchange my coins directly for goods and services (without ever selling them back for fiat currency) in the far future or sooner if there ever is a crisis.
I have an auction up at the moment, I’m selling five Silver Britannias with Monkey Privy Mark on Rim. I got over these accidentally, and since they are not really my cup of tea I hope they will find a better home. Check it out:

Thought I would say hello after lurking on and off for quite  a while, first heard about this site from byb's wonderful videos on YouTube but have been been collecting coins for several years now, both more collectable pieces and bullion. Would perhaps like to try cleaning silver with household chemicals/ items but have never been brave enough. (Think you can use baking soda and aluminium foil or something to reverse any corrosion) -
Also have paper money, rounds etc - quite a mixture of stuff. I might finish a series one day!

    Hi All
i have decided I want to invest in silver for my retirement - I am currently 40(ish) and will be holding till I’m at least 60(ish) and live in the Uk
I know nothing about silver but have spent the last day looking at 1oz Brittanias (solid investment)……oh American Eagles look cool…wait these marvel collections are amazing……I’m expecting this journey of discovery is one most of you relate too, lol
I would be looking to buy 10+ coins per month, but I’m not sure if I should just buy standard Britannia's or go in for collections etc etc
What would be the best solid investment / riskier investment with potentially higher return etc etc?
Any advice and guidance or direction towards research resources would be much appreciated.
    Many thanks all 🙂
