I didn't say I was right. If I'm wrong please correct me. That's the only way I'll learn
Is 5K really that low for a modern coin? I wasn't looking when they started, were they really that sought after that they were hard to get a hold of originally?
And why are they better than any other artificially scarce modern coin then?
People just like series. QB has been popular mainly because it’s a bit different to the several lunar varieties and it’s actually a short and quick series being released twice a year.
Also Royal mint is arguably one of the most if not the most popular mint for collectors. The premiums you speak of only exist because people are willing to pay the high premium to back date their collection and try to complete a full set. I know thats what i did when i had to pay £1300 for the lion and £1250 for the griffin. Seems very cheap now lol.
Personally i think some of the premiums will die after the series is completed. I know some people thought perhaps this series would sky rocket if anything happened to our dear queen and we changed monarch mid set, but there’s one coin left and I don’t see her going anywhere soon.

Gold isn’t far off it’s all time high (GBP) it was at BEFORE the pandemic. The aftermath will last a lot longer than the end of the pandemic. My “buy buy buy” was a but tongue in cheek, but i do think now is a great time to buy - or even better - already own gold.

Here’s the reverse. Cash is a dirty word in the UK now it’s a joke.
Takes a while to be phased out, i was in the bank the other day and they were still accepting the old £10 note if it was the last ones produced (they checked serial numbers)
