Is it that time of year again already. Time really does go fast.
I’m happy to enter the Christmas draw again.
I’ll have to get my diving equipment out the loft to find this years prize draw though.
Only joking of course.
I’d like to enter with a 1oz silver coin, a £10 donation to charity (of the winners choice) and a mystery prize. Which is also still a mystery to me at present.

Here's my 10 pennies worth, already I've seen guys a little shaky because the coins they have bought have not sold out.......do not be premature,   look at every single first monarch coin set.  1831, 1839, 1902, 1911, 1937, 1953...........Us moral plebs have been given a chance to buy the first KCIII gold proof sovereigns and we are concerned about them not selling out instantly, guys this is an opportunity of a lifetime.   How wealthy would you have to have been to buy a 1937 gold proof sovereign set on launch day?    You would have had to be comfortably middle class and well off, what about 1911? Or back in 1839 with a gold Una and the lion in the set you would have to have been in the elite classes. 
Some people now have a totally instant lifestyle and when things don't move at light speed they don't appear to have the attention span or the ability to step back and look at the bigger picture.  Make your own decisions, but how many times have you said in your life I wish I'd bought X when they came out or I wish you had bought more of them?

It is time for the 2022 Christmas Prize Draw entries. Last year there were over 70 entrants. I believe, you can see last years Christmas Prize Draw topic here, to have an idea as to some of the prizes. This year we are keeping the same 1oz minimum silver entry.

Anyone wanting to be entered please list your interest below, before the 21st November 2022 (UK time) ONLY PEOPLE WHO DONATE A PRIZE WILL BE ENTERED INTO THE DRAW. Daily draws will commence from the 25th November. 

Everyone who enters the draws will receive a prize. And everyone who enters will need to donate a prize as per the conditions at the bottom of this post. 

Last year, each day running up to Christmas, draws were released in batches and each prize that was donated was matched up to a winner. The draw(s) itself/themselves will start on the 25th of November, to accommodate those who enter from abroad. All prizes will be assigned randomly to the winners, either by using a random number generator or using a spreadsheet program to randomly match up prizes to winners.

If you already know what the prize is that you will be entering into the draw, please feel free to post the prize below. This will help to encourage more members to join the Christmas Prize Draws and to donate good prizes. If you are unsure of the prize you will be entering but know that you would like to enter you can still state your interest in joining below, to be included in the draws, and add your prize details later.

Conditions of entry:

Minimum prize value of 1oz of silver or £25 GBP / $30 USD / applicable currency equivalent cash value of an alternative prize.

Members entering must hold Premium Membership. As well as Premium Membership helping to support TSF to grow, choosing to only allow Premium Members to enter also means that there is less risk of an entrant defaulting on sending their prize. Any members who enter but does not follow through on their entry risk their account status. We do not anticipate that there will be any issues this year  Feel free to purchase Premium Membership to then enter the draw below. 

As TSF is a worldwide forum, any member who enters does so under the condition that they agree to post the prize worldwide to the winner and to cover the cost of standard world-wide shipping. It is the receivers responsibility to pay any applicable taxes and import duties etc that may be imposed by customs when receiving an international parcel.

Entry is available to any Premium Member in any country worldwide. 

I think today has been a great success. 
I think measuring whether they sell out of 40000+ coins in one day and then saying its a damp squib or failure is not appropriate for the release. 
Remember, if the Royal Mint have sold on average 75% of their stock in the first day then the break down would be over £22 Million in sales.
That is NOT a bad day for any mint or coin dealer. IN A DAY!

If you are buying these just to make some extra cash you will probably fail. Some will flip and some will win. 
There is more to life than cash in the bank.

Went for a full sov. Maybe should have just gone for a half given the mintage and cost, but it is a beautiful design. 

For the uncertainty and somewhat despondent nature things have seem to turn past few hours. We have still yet to see the coin in the flesh.
And this design away from the computer renderings we've seen this far, i'm pretty certain will be blinking stunning when in hand
