Trying to keep it as a surprise its proving harder as try to get a full set without him knowing - halfway there now as have hulk and wolverine
Just need to find the others at a decent price 
One wish I cant grant him is he wants actual wolverine claws grafted on when he is older 🤯

Received the 2021 sovereign from the Royal Mint this week. It took a while as I understand the RM need to restock packaging for the coin.
Well worth the wait. It has the QC “quality control” sticker and the coin looks great. Nice privy mark on the reverse.

Saw this for sale by an Australian eBay seller and picked it up for what I think was a good price. A lovely 1992 UK proof coin set that includes the 50p UK presidency of the EU coin which I understand has a low mintage for a 50p. 

Another nice selection of South American silver plus a coin from Mozambique from @DuncanWylieWilson, who seems to have an endless supply of really nice coins.

Thought I would show the non graded collection of fractional gold which are mostly the Panda coins. Love them! 

It’s been a big week this week receiving the 1887 proof half and 2021 proof sovereign shown in earlier posts.
The last two coins for this week are a 1923 Melbourne sovereign and a 1909 Melbourne half sovereign.
i bought the sovereign from a Queensland based auction house. Lovely coin with a 511,129 mintage that year. 
The Melbourne half sovereign came from an eBay auction. Condition is a bit worn but it was a circulation coin. I keep a lookout for Australian half sovereigns as the mintage levels were usually low and the coins were used as money and many melted when too worn. For example the mintage for the 1909 Melbourne half sovereign was 186,094 versus over 3 million for the 1909 Melbourne full sovereign. 
 

First sovereign purchase of 2021 and my first (random) 'antique' one (bit of a clue in the picture where it came from). I hadn't any older than 10 years before this one.

The mark on this 500g looks like the adhesive off the bubble wrap packaging... Anyone any ideas to gentle clean it off? 

Today I received an absolutely stunning toned India - British 1 Rupee 1900-B. This is now my second favourite coin after my beautifully toned 1887-S Morgan dollar. Wonderful!

Sorting through old pennies was where I came in...
Counting them in our family's amusement arcade was one of my jobs as a teenager, and I still like "old" pennies, and most other pre-decimal coins, which I think were better engraved and struck then modern decimal coins.
We still have a few tons of old pennies which need sorting out when we have time...

This arrived today. 2 Bolivares 1965. Hard to find them with no wear on the Cornucopias!
