A very fast Harrington & Byrne delivery came today. Full and half Sovereigns

Nearly there in my quest for the complete set of 2005 Perth Mint Lunar Series 1. Latest 5 oz obtained from USA as there seemed to be nothing in Europe. All I need to do now is get a 1/2 kilo empty capsule, crack open the slab, source and buy the 1 kilo and commission a custom case. Not much to do lol.... work in progress and will be a few months yet before completion I think. 😀

A brass rocker sovereign scale from @Clockpuncher, thank you. It fits in nicely with some of the other Guinea and Sovereign scales in my expanding collection.
 

Was bored on the weekend so did some eBay mining. Got this lot spread across a few auctions for about 15% below spot.

Finally managed to get my hands on the book covering the proof and patterns for the Napoleonic coinage in Italy. It also includes the auction history for some of the issues which I have not seen in a book before so that makes my life much easier.
The quality of some of these issues also supports my thoughts that the Italian mints were a complete shambles compared to the French, Spanish, Dutch and German mints
