Jeffers46 reacted to LawrenceChard in Time to drag the Royal Mint's business model in to this century?
ducking out for now
Did you spell that correctly?
- lots to do sadly
Be positive, and try to do it happily.
- may pop in this evening/
Thanks for letting us all know, so that we don't need to worry that you might have topped yourself, or been eliminated by the RMCS department.

well i can confimr it was not a VIP only offering, i have a bog standard account and i got mine because I got out of my bed early on a monday morning, made myself a cup of tea and sat at my bloody computer waiting for the site to open and i was successful so i was then offered the 2nd one as i'd bought the first one. and the lady at the RM was fantastic!!

Picked up my panthers today.
Great coin, love it and the reverse frosted is STUNNING.
Quality of coins is great, nothing wrong to my eyes.
THE BOX HOWEVER - ribbon is basically broken and as you might see from the video later today the first impression opening this package was LESS than good.
Also, ROYAL MINT - get the little things right please, put the bloody coins in oriented the correct way round - this is how I was presented with my coins.
It shows either a) A complete lack of care and precision in the QC process or b) Total ignorance regarding the presentation of their products.
IF I RULED THE MINT - gosh, heads would role.

Gonna have another go...
A member once looked for advice,
Around the recommended retailing price,
On this forum he failed,
"Why me?" how he wailed,
How's that, for being concise?

Pretty sure most are aware of that likelihood!
But it's just so much fun 🙂

Nothing I have not communicated to them directly, since 2000 at least.
I do rather object to your wanton use of the word "mocking", as I was simply stating facts.
If you care to read some of the information pages I have written, especially on our heritage websites. I am happy to provide links in case you can't find them.
If the RM consider anything I have published about them to be defamatory, they are welcome to try and sue me.
If you think anything I have said about them, or anyone else for that matter, is defamatory, you are welcome to explain how and why you have reached that opinion, but please make your case clearly and accurately.

Nine pages. This thread is nine pages long.
All because someone didn’t get what they wanted from the Royal Mint and want to now take the whole system down AFTER paying for the coins on the secondary market.
Give me strength.
Pram. Toys. Of. Out.

As a business, the Mint are smashing it.
Sell out after sell out of the high profile stuff, at high premiums, with many others disappointed in the queue - all despite shabby QC.
Why would they change anything?
The Marque system rewards people who spend the most money with them, which again, seems like reasonable business practice to me.

So thought as its sunday and I am having a real chilled day (atm), i'll join in with the giggles and get my setup ready to join the queue.
The evolution of a queue?
Don't think this will even be enough to capture one.😄
What you think?

After hours of indecision I decided conservation was the best option. It’s been conserved and graded at a PF69 First Release. Appreciate all the input from other members about whether to send this back or risk conservation. I knew it wouldn’t be a 70 but made up with what it got

Still disappointed with the queens beasts 2oz set I returned twice and requested a refund.
No idea why, but the smell and weight of that set I still remember with happiness.
Shame the QC was appalling.
