I also think that because this series has a 1 Oz gold version, most folks went after that instead of the 2 Oz. Perhaps the folks who really desperately wanted a gold version eventually bought the 2 Oz after there was no chance of getting the 1 Oz.
    Maybe 🤷🏻‍♂️

Good idea. Looks, like nobody have the Tudor Beasts on the list. Last week i shot another 2 OZ Panther under retail. Now i need more of the RM 2 OZ 10 coin boxes. I think, this is the most underrated RM series today. Here 1, 2 & 5 OZ silver.

lubi29 reacted to BullionBuyerUK in Tavex Bullion
Following on from the deal posted on the gold/silver deals last month, I took the plunge in between Christmas and new year and purchased some things from tavex bullion. On the deals thread there were a few people who were interested in buying from them but unsure due to their recent arrival to the UK market, so I'd thought I'd share my experience.
So I managed to buy 10 silver britannia's, a 1oz gold Britannia and a queen Victoria sovereign.
The Silver brits all came in coin capsules, they look to be free of any dents, scratches or damage, and are all minted in 2021. But nearly all of them do have heavy milk spotting. Now I'm not an expert on milk spots, but this package was held up with royal mail for over a week and I'm wondering if being stored in a cold sorting office/van has contributed to the milk spotting as I've not got any other coins as heavily spotted as these. I'm not worried though as these are bullion coins going into a coin tube.
The gold Britannia is in perfect condition, again arrived in a coin capsule, minted in 2022 and the only fault I can find with it is the luster of the coin isn't as high as my other 1oz gold brit.
The Queen Victoria sovereign is dated as 1898 and I have to say the condition of this 124 year old coin is absolutely fantastic. Apart from a few very light surface scratches (from cleaning maybe) the coin it's self is absolutely lovely. Didn't come in a coin capsule, but well packaged.
The packaging of the coins was great too. Arrived in a jiffy bag, 2 boxes with foam packaging cut out to hold each coin. On the whole apart from the milk spotted silver brits there is nothing I can complain about. I was invoice number 180 odd, so going by that I'm guessing they are slowly picking up customers. I'll be sure to buy from them again. Hope this helps anyone who was in 2 minds about purchasing from them.

lubi29 reacted to dikefalos in Why hold Gold….just look at Turkey
Our conflict has nothing to do with the times of Leonidas, Themistoklis, Alexander the Great etc., nothing to do with Persia and the wars against them. After the win over Persia, Alexander dressed up in persian clothes as a sign of respect. We highly respect each other. Not the Mullahs, but the persian people, culture and achievements.
It's about the looting of Constantinople, 400 years of slavery, lost homeland around the Mediterranean and the Black Sea, the genocide of Pontians in the 20's and much, much more. After the big earthquakes in Turkey and Athens in the 90's, where greek and turkish volunteers was the first to help their neighbouring country, the relations got better. Today this conflict is be used again to devide us and raise the hate. Especially things like the use of Hagia Sophia as a mosque, the daily violation of greek territory by the turkish air force and navy, the war rethoric by turkish PM, etc. makes things difficult and dangerous again. In the last couple of years there was more than one incident, that almost led direct into a military conflict. I don't know, what you see in the UK, in Germany you hear almost nothing about it. They are allies for hundreds of years.
At least we are just the dummies for geopolitical and financial interests. But with a lunatic like Erdogan and a clown like Mitsotakis this could get very serious. Greek and turkish PEOPLE have so much in common and we could be very good neighbours, even after all our bad and bloody history. We will see 2023 how far this will go, 100 years after Lausanne. Hopefully with a new turkish PM that respects international law.

RM to their credit have done excellent with their solution, listened to our collective moans here
foam spacers in every hole to prevent capsules dislodging Thick velvet protector strip to protect wood and thick rectangular foam to sandwich all together to prevent any movement  in transit  So anyone awaiting their for set still, this should hopefully keep their mind at ease

As the Fed Pivots to a Fast Taper, More Rate Hikes are on the Way
This month’s highly anticipated Federal Reserve meeting announced that the Fed is speeding up the tapering of its asset purchases to US$30 billion per month.
This means that instead of adding US$120 billion to its balance sheet each month, the Fed will be adding US$60 billion.
The Fed also said in its statement that
Based on this statement, if the Fed follows through at the ‘same reduction pace’ the asset purchases will stop after two more meetings, which would put the end of asset purchases in March 2022.
The Fed Is Flipping- Massive Policy Error
Watch John Mauldin Only on GoldCore TV

It is important to point out that, yes, the Fed is slowing its asset purchases, but it is still purchasing US$40 billion in US Treasury Securities and $20 billion in Mortgage-backed securities per month.
These continued purchases are on top of the already $1.74 trillion (yes, trillion with a T) assets the Fed has added to its balance sheet since July 2020; and the $7.75 trillion added over the last 13 years.
federal Reserve Assets Chart Fed pivots toward tackling inflation
‘The Fed pivot’ towards the high inflation numbers – US CPI inflation was 6.7% in November. Being more permanent than the transitory nature the Fed had previously anticipated are the catalyst to the faster taper schedule.
The FOMC (Federal Open Market Committee, which is the Fed’s monetary policy committee) participants’ updated projections show that they now expect PCE (Personal Consumption Expenditure) inflation to average around 2.6% in 2022. Also 2.3% in 2023, up from their September estimates of 2.2% for both years.
This has in turn increased their outlook for the Federal Funds Rate (the Fed’s policy interest rate). The FOMC now expects the Fed Funds Rate to increase to 0.8% in 2022 and to 1.6% in 2023 (the current rate is .25%).
But the surprise in the Fed’s projections is that they only raise their projection of Real GDP growth to 4.0% from 3.8% in 2022, and then decreased their projection of Real GDP growth in 2023 from 2.5% to 2.2%.
However, in the Fed’s statement and reiterated by Chair Powell in his press conference there were caveats to this outlook.
At the top of the list is the effect of the Omicron variant on the economy. With renewed lockdown restrictions in the US could slow the economy again.
The second caveat is that if labour force strength, especially for the lowest wage earners, is weaker than the Fed would like, it could put interest rate increases on hold.
A deeper look at inflation shows the inflation increase has been driven by goods inflation.
During Covid-lockdowns, many services were not easily available, such as dining in restaurants and travel, so consumers turned to purchasing goods instead.
Don’t forget that the US government put upwards of US$850 billion into household’s bank accounts in 2020 and early 2021 which added to consumer spending.
Some components of the high inflation numbers, i.e. energy (up 33%) and used cars (up 31%), should moderate in 2022 as the Fed now expects.
There is a major component that has not accounted for in the high inflation numbers yet – the rising housing prices.
US CPI Goods and Services Soaring Housing Prices
In the CPI calculation, house prices are not directly incorporated but fall under the category in services of ‘shelter’, which is based on a cryptic calculation described as rents and owners’ equivalent rent of residences.
The issue is that equivalent rent of residences is an estimated number that seriously lags house prices. This means when this component catches up it will rise considerably.
This is based on the latest CPI release shows that shelter only rose 3.8% in November compared to year earlier. This is when the latest readings on house price are showing increases of above 20% compared to a year earlier.
Also, not directly in CPI, but will feed into CPI on a lagged basis are wage increases. These are also increasing and are expected to increase further as employers offer incentives to attract desperately needed workers.
We remind the reader that the Fed, and other Central banks want some inflation – See our post “Why Do Central Banks Want Higher Inflation?” from October 21.
Although the Fed has now come around to the notion that inflation is ‘more permanent than temporary’ they are likely going to stay behind the inflation curve. This means that real rates will remain negative.
Bottom line for gold and silver is even by the Fed’s own calculations in this latest release real interest rates are expected to stay negative for the coming years.
And inflation readings are likely to increase further before they start to decline back due to the lag in calculations. This means pushing real rates even further negative. And negative real rates are a very good environment for gold and silver to rise!

Recently noticed on the NGC pop report that 105 2022 five coin sets have already graded 70 and 1 set at 69 ? To get numbers like that on all five coins they must have been cherry picked.
Wonder when and where these will show up and for what price ?

so after showing my sister, my previous great engravers coins and showed her the Gothic crown, she fell in love with the design and decided to do aRoyal Mint account and buy one. I told her what she had to do on release date. * Note: She has only few coins (mostly presents from me) to her collection. So she got in the queue and she had very low number and managed to grab a gold coin 😎 . (Yes thats the first coin she bought from Royal Mint 😭). I guess its newbies luck. Anyways , my question is, will she be offered the next gold coin of the set by the mint? Or does she need to contact them? Or is it offered only to mint marquee members?
