A bit late for Christmas, chocolate coins! 


A very unique arrival today. 

One of the cleverest adapted coins I've ever seen

2 more to add to the long term collection. Britannia designs can be hit and miss but the Philip Nathan’s are most definitely my favourites, these 2 in particular. @Royand @trozau can definitely appreciate. I have the 1/4oz in all 5 designs but I think I need all the 1oz’s in my life 😊 

Well dipping my toe into uncharted waters and well out of my comfort zone is a 1937 Proof Specimen Set. I was lucky to find this pretty much unmolested set in a local antique dealer and after a bit of help and advice from @richatthecroft (Thanks Rich) I took the plunge.
My rubbish photography and no natural light don't really show how nice this really is overall.Toning is minimal on the siver coins and just is a really nice set you don't come across very often and I was lucky to find.






 

I believe the 10 coin sets that were released at the end of the series had booklets included. I've not seen inside one i'm afraid.
I decided to add some stamp sets to finish of my collection boxes. The below is the 1998 Queen's beasts presentation pack which had some information on the beasts in there from memory. If you like these, it's worth checking out the 1984 and 1987 Heraldry sets. I think you'd be able to get all three for less than a tenner on ebay.

Keep stacking while the Cartel knocks the prices down, denies reality with fake/manipulated data.
