Just another example of this government robbing us blind.

I am sure that the 15:1 ratio will return at some point. But unlike Maloney, I think it will be as a result of the price of gold falling rather than the price of silver rising.

A point that is missed reading earlier comments is that UK stackers wanting to buy new issue silver cannot avoid paying 20% VAT whereas our own Royal Mint produced silver sells to some European countries for either 0% VAT ( Estonia up until summer ) or the EU dealers are willing to use the differential VAT scheme meaning very low VAT to their customers.
I need multiple 2022 issue coins when they are released but have no choice but to pay 20% VAT to whoever has them for sale.
Stackers in the EU or the USA for example can buy the same coins approximately 20% cheaper.
Buying second hand, for example on the SF, although VAT is not shown as an added tax, it is kind of built-in as silver will sell at the going rate which is higher in the UK than elsewhere for this reason.

Also the 2 most undervalued commodities right now are silver and uranium. The latter would be very difficult physically stack unless you want to be like the glowing ready break kid!

I'm very sorry though, I've missed something very important - who is the young girl who needs cheering up with a present or funds for her medical aftercare? Please let us know, many thanks

It will never be worth more than the full, but it should do pretty well eventually. The problem is the high issue price compared to most of the other special reverses. With the premium at dealers or even the Mint after the initial lot sold out it's already around the price of a 2017 (key year) just to buy. That had a mintage of 1817 iirc and this one is 4200 odd.
The special year halfs were lagging way behind their full size siblings for many a year. Some can still be had at relatively good prices (worth snapping up if you see a deal!) but they're attracting more attention as the full sovereign versions become unaffordable to more and more people, especially if you want to make a set. It's a bi of a special case as it's out on its own and the best performer, being the one to have for now (especially if you were only ever going to have one), but the 1989 has almost doubled in price over the last five years to £550ish I believe.

@stefffana, I am very happy to hear about Thais' surgery and recovery! ❤️
I would still like to donate something to wish her well. Could I ask you to give her one of the coins when you see her next, as a gift from all of us at the Silver Forum - a lucky charm to remind her that we are thinking of her?
The other coin, I'd ask you to kindly send to Bully as a reminder of his overseas tour, happy memories I hope, and as a thank you for his service. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿  👊

I'll PM you to discuss details.

Of course, I think of all the coins released for the jubilee, a sovereign of some kind is the best option in my humble opinion.

I see that this topic remained open, but no one has added anything from January 1st. I think you've all been waiting for me to conclude. Here I am again, I'm here, my friends!🤗
After losing the competition against @HerefordBullyun I fell into deep depression and anxiety. For days I did not recover, no matter how many antidepressants I took and no matter how many glasses of alcohol I drank. It wasn't until I mixed them that I felt better and I came to my senses, but it took me almost two weeks to learn how much Lorazepam for a glass of vodka and how much Xanax at a red wine bottle.
I will give you updates about Thais: her recovery after brain surgery is great, not needs more interventions. Her mother is very grateful for what you have done already for her daughter, so not more money needs. Thais said that she wants to have the silver bar from Uncle Bully, so I will give her in May when I will go home in holiday. I have already for a gold gift £275 from previous auction. If @Roy still want to buy from me the two coins "Bully collection" , I am more than happy to send them to him. @Roy will decide after will have them how much want to pay for. Please, send me a PM with address details.
About our winner 🏆, who offered his prize with a great generosity, what can I say?
I unilaterally decided to call him "The Man of the Year 2021". I don't know if others are in tune with my opinion, but for me he is indeed The Man. For this nomination I prepared the most beautiful trophy I found. In fact, that was the real reason for my silence, I waited to have it in my hand. See pictures.
It is a continental silver .800 statue, the marks are a little fainted, but passed the acid tests. And is beautiful. And yes, @HerefordBullyun, you deserve this trophy 🏆!🤗 I will contact you in private for address details. This prize should be in your hands until 31.01.22, to be in accord with terms of our original bet.
All the best, my friends, and the year 2022 to bring all of you only prosperity, health and joy!
    Stefan.

My bullion double sovereign is currently winging its way to me from the RM.  I ordered it on Friday, and will collect it from the local sorting office in a few days' time (I will be at my workplace tomorrow when they attempt delivery).
Looking forward to seeing the design in the metal, since I didn't order any of the proofs - and the bullion sovereign coin from H&B has yet to arrive.

I think you're safe. They sent out the last 3 coin sets last week, so presumably just a few days extra to mint the final doubles, assemble everything, and ship
