BleyerBullion got a reaction from Oddjob in anyone else had issues with bleyer ?
    Hi Gary
I see I am a bit late to the party here as I've been tied up in meetings all morning. I really do not understand why you felt the need to air something that I thought we had already addressed to your complete satisfaction.
Since this is in the public domain I am respecting your privacy, but here are the facts to put the record straight. I am very proud of my wonderful team who bend over backwards to help people all they can, it is a shame when this is not appreciated.
You have purchased several times from us and due to the amount of money spent overall, we requested standard compliance information. The fact that we have these procedures, keeps our bank and our merchant terminal provider happy. We do not pass this data onto anyone and this was clearly explained to you in a long email from me personally. Bullion dealers are routinely targeted by fraudsters using innocent people's money to buy bullion that can be easily turned into cash, our request to you was strictly standard practice - nothing more than that.
This was your tenth order over a period of almost 7 years so yes, since you seemed so upset about being asked for ID and your orders are not of enormous value, I felt it reasonably safe to make a small exception in this case. You ordered 2021 coins and 2022 coins. Our database was out, so there were no 2021 coins available but I did have 2022 coins coming in.
In addition to waiving the ID request, I offered you a discount of £43.46 or a refund for the 2021 coins.
You were not happy with this offer and requested a refund. My sales team processed the refund immediately and advised that it may not show up immediately on your account.
I am interested to know what else we could possibly have done to please you?
I hope that whatever pain you are in will pass soon.
    Best wishes
    Caroline

Bleyer Bullion happen to be a competitor of ours, but I have only ever heard positive stuff about them, similar to the responses you can already see on here.
Being slightly pedantic, seeing any post using all lower case in its title always prejudices me a little, even before I get to read the rest of it. I guess you posted it from your mobile phone.
I find it difficult to believe that Bleyer Bullion totally screwed you over (cue music:

Your post is very short on hard facts and evidence.
If you had stated exactly what you bought, with the time and date, you may be more credible.
You already seem to admit you did not check your e-mails at the time. A copy of their e-mail to you would help, as would a screenshot of their offer at the time, now, and a link to their product page.
It is not fraudulent to offer to sell things when you are awaiting stock of them. If it was, then the whole of the Royal Mint would be on death row by now!
It is quite common for consumers with a grievance or complaint to tell only half a story, and to omit key facts.
Try telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, and you may get some credence (not another song cue) here.
Would it have been too much to expect you to tag @BleyerBullion in to your post, so they would be aware of it, and be able to set the record straight.
I notice you do not use your actual real name, unless actually it is "garyg". While there can be valid reaons for using a pseudonym, it is far too easy for trolls and cowards to operate on social media forums under the convenient cloak of anonymity.

    Hi Everyone
Thanks to @stefffana for raising this interesting topic on the subject of ethics.
As a few people have mentioned, we had a technical issue on our site that meant that the 2022 Sovereign was sold unintentionally at below cost prices. Many people spotted this and benefitted from the error, costing us a couple of thousand pounds or more. As has been mentioned, we could have cancelled the orders (as per our Ts and Cs), but as an act of goodwill, decided that more could be gained from taking a hit, rather than upsetting several good customers and some newbies we hope to retain. I can assure you that as owner of the business, I absorbed the full loss and whenever there is an error that costs us money, I pay the price personally. Sorry to the people who approached us the following week, wanting us to sell more to them at the old wrong price, sadly my generosity could not extend that far.
For those who set out to comb sites for underpriced products, we do have to deal with this on a case by case basis, but will always err on the side of the customer whenever we can.
Regarding ethics generally, we do some good by commissioning charity bars and rounds from @BackyardBullion who have made some beautiful Owl bars and the Unity Rounds which we sold to raise money for metal health charities. Bullion companies have benefitted from additional interest
I also like the idea of the Valcambi green, ethical bars and plan to stock them when supplies become a bit more stable. We sell a lot of Baird bars too, materials for which are also ethically sourced but they don't shout about it. Their bars are made from recycled metals taken largely from the jewellery industry.
    Have a great week everyone!

Didn't this scenario just happen recently with @BleyerBullion? And the 2022 sovereign ( not thousands of pounds mind) but a couple of hundred at least ( without knowing how many where purchased)
bleyer stood over the error which was very commendable, but if I thought for one second the difference came out of an employee's wage packet...then they can have mine back with a smile.
Great question and very thought provoking, would I do a dealer out of a few thousand? Categorically no ( luck doesn't follow such actions)
Would I buy a coin from a ( dealer )with a £10-£20 discrepancy? Yes, every day of the week and twice on Sunday's 🙂 as I can guarantee they have made multiple thousands from me over the years.
I've pointed out by private mail a few times to sellers on here that their item was undervalued.
What goes around comes around ( I hope lol )
