Is that not a bit harsh? I my way of thinking, yes it is.
The OP mentioned they were new to silver and asked some questions, there is nothing wrong with that, it's half the reason why this forum exists. Will have all made mistakes, and will make more. Your comments make little sense, we are here to learn. I know more about precious metals than 99% of the public, yet only 10% of the other members here. Would you berate a toddler who is just learning to walk with the same type of language as you have used to a fellow forum member?
If so, this forum may not be the place for you.

Welcome Griffo, plenty to drink her from the cup of the horn of knowledge. Loads of due dilgence here. Ive drunk loads but normally drunk too much offering the opposite sex my horn of plenty, but when you are as ugly as me - its a rare facet and my horrn is like an acorn.  
Best place to learn about PM's and other investements, not financial advice etc.
I hope you have a wealthy good stacking new year and I would recommend membership, depending on your stacking goals.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. Apparently they had 30 sovereigns in the shop the day before and someone came in and bought the lot! All they had left were 4 half's, of which this was one.  I'll see if I can get them to knock it down a touch and add it to the stack. 👍

I only started stacking during the  February 2021 silver squeeze hype and I did not know about the silver forum so i made lots of mistakes and ending up buying a couple of kilo bars and 30 oz of coins from dealers paying an average of £27.80oz.........not good.
If i could have my time again i  would buy from the forum and get gold  sovereigns and silver Britannia coins .
I would also consider 0.500 pre 1947 coins as you can get them at spot price with no premium or vat which is amazing. If i had only purchased the pre 1947 coins form the forum i would have got silver at £17 rather than £27.80.
On the forum you can get silver Britannia's for £23oz, pre 1947 at £17oz and gold sovereign's for spot plus 4%.
Wish i had seen the silver forum before i wasted that cash.
I am now saving for gold sovs, silver brits and pre 1947.

Hi, thanks for responding, but I was wondering if a company like NGC use a x5 mag for grading purposes, isn't a x40 mag going to give you a slighty false idea of your coins grading potential. If you inspect any coin with a high enough magnification then surely you'd find issues with every coin ever minted? TIA
